My eye glasses are covered with some extremely dried water or dirt or something, and i have been unable to remove them with the old fabric and water. What cleaners can i use/make that will get those stains off? Can i use something as hardcore as Fantastik or Comet or one of those household cleaners maybe?

some people told me I had to take my contacts off some hours before going to the doctor's office. (they said sth about accommodation)
How much time should I spend without them? (I don't have a pair of glasses because I lost them, I'm going to the doctor to get a new rx but taking my cont. off would mean spending a few hours without seeing very well)
Is it extremely necessary to do that or can I just go there with the contacts on and just take them off for the exam?

I have had a trial pair of contacts for 2 weeks. My follow up exam is tomorrow but when I first went to get them the woman showing me how to put them in gave me my sample of opti-free solution but also a small bottle of rewetting drops meant for hard lenses. Mine are soft and I used the drops a few times. Will this damage my eyes or contacts?

I'm planning to get the Purevision Toric contact lenses. here is my prescription:

O.D. -5.00 -1.00 063
O.S. -3.50 -0.75 140

I have some questions because I am planning to buy online. There is no option for -1.00 cyclinder. What should i put? What about the 063 axis? Should i put 60?

Do the sphere's change or anything? Should i enter slightly below?

Thanks!

I had CK surgery on Monday. Today is Sunday and my vision still is off enough that it seems blurred and makes me nauseated. The Dr. said it could take 3 months to see the results from this surgery. He did not tell me this until after the surgery though. Has anyone else had these problems and how long did it last?
Thanks everyone who can help!

I think it's called floaters. But I got my eyes dialated few days ago. And I been seeing these small moving particles everywhere especially I can see it on the wall since I got my eyes dialated. Do you think it should go away? I see a lot of small moving particles moving and it's really annoying.

I was in the dentist's office and i saw a baby with glasses. How do the optometrists know they need glasses if they can't take the eye test? (You know the one where you have to read the letters on the paper)

...until you preferred the "view" with your glasses vs without.

Background: first got glasses at age 35 for astigmatism - wore them religiously for 3 ish years (one RX change half way through there). Now, have been doing without for 1.5 years, just got new glasses today, and think I am suffering the effects of my eyes having compensated for their short-comings for the last year and a half.....and now struggling to "uncompensate" since I now have glasses....

Does anybody out there understand what I am saying??
Thanks - later!

I confronted my mom and stepdad about me not being able to see the blackboard in school so the next time they go to costco, prob about a week from now maybe sooner, (yes i know that sounds tacky lol) they are going to take me to the optometrist there but i am afraid of going there! i am afraid i might need glasses. my stepdad said i might have astigmatism. And optometrists in general kind of scare me.(no offence to optometrists of course :) ) Is there any way I can feel better about going to the optometrist?

Which contact lenses is easier to grab and then take out from ur eyes? Bigger contacts or smaller ones?

2007-11-30 11:27:57 · 3 answers · asked by NeNe 1

When I went to the eye doctor few days ago, he gave me new contacts but it's smaller than the one I used to have previously. I don't know why maybe it's kind of hard to grab when I take it out. And this time I went to a different eye doctor and I didn't show him records or anything though. I already taken the eye exams but do u think they should measure my eyes when I go back?
