Can u get non-prescription colored contacts?

i really want colored contacts, is it possible to get ones that arent prescription and about how much are they and where from

You can- but by law you have to have a prescription, even if you just want them for changing your eye color. The Contact exam usually runs around $100, and the disposable color lenses start like $34.88/box at Walmart.

Do it the right way- go to an eye Dr- really bad bad things can happen to people that self prescribe.......including blindness!

I live in a really small city and there are two places I have found that see non perscription contacts. First place is called "Beauty Smart" so look in your phone book for something like beauty. I also found a place in the mall that has colored contacts but they also offer teeth whitening at the same place and I don't think thats something a normal has. I bought contacts from both places and haven't had any trouble with wearing them just make sure if you do get them to take care of them and make sure they stay moist. I did have a pair that I had forgotten about that had the solution dry up and they cracked into two. Also when looking for a color if you have light eyes get a light color and if you have dark eyes get a dark color. I have dark blue eyes and got light purple ones and they irritated my eyes but my dark green and aqua blue ones did not.

Yes, and I have seen them sold at beauty and trendy jewelery stores in the mall. They are most likely less than 20 dollars. But if they are good quality and are soft, that is unlikely.

I've heard you can, but you still have to get them through an eye doctor. I'm sure they'll be somewhat expensive and insurance will not cover them.

You can. The samples that doctors receive have no prescription in them. :)

Yes you can ... in many colors, including purple if you like. My ex-girfriend got hers in green. I must say that it was very attractive.

sure, but there is a reason to get an eye exam, you can damage your eyes,and when you buy them, you are at your own risk, they are sold as fashion jewelry, and any damage, you can not sue them, as you could a reputable doctor.
