My eye glasses are covered with some extremely dried water or dirt or something, and i have been unable to remove them with the old fabric and water. What cleaners can i use/make that will get those stains off? Can i use something as hardcore as Fantastik or Comet or one of those household cleaners maybe?

Mix a few drops of rubbing alcohol with a very small amount of water;dab a lint free soft cloth (try to get one meant for this sort of thing). in the water/alcohol. rub mixture on glasses then use dry part of the cloth to dry the glasses. They will be good as new.eye glass cleaners contain alcohol, this way is cheaper. avoid soap and water it does not work very well.

Oh dont use anything harsh especially not recomended for glasses. What I did was I went to walmart and went to the isle that sells eye glasses and eye care stuff and purchased a kit that included a soft cloth for lenses, a cleaner that cleans your eye glass lenses and it also had one of those mini screw drivers in case you eye glasses need a small repair. I was only bout $4.00 so cheap. Its great! Many eye doctors places sell these or you can just go to your local walmart, walgreens, or CVS and get them. I would recommend getting a set. IF this is no help you may need to bring them into your eye doctors and have them try something usually they can help.

It would depend on the individual. Glasses are always a safe bet. But, my girlfriend had the surgery. She could not see enough to find her glasses. This was 5 years ago during the trials. To this day she has had no problem seeing. She is very glad she did it. The factor which would decide it for most is the cost factor. Glasses or contacts are cheaper. But if you want to look great and see great, spend the extra money and get the surgery.

The places that make and sell lenses suggest wetting them with plain water, then putting a drop of liquid dishwashing detergent on a finger, and rubbing it all over the lenses, and then rinsing them off with plain water. No rubbing with dry towels, no oily soaps, and no using harsh cleaning chemicals.

Only use a mild soapy water bases cleanser. Never use household cleaners.
