I have had a trial pair of contacts for 2 weeks. My follow up exam is tomorrow but when I first went to get them the woman showing me how to put them in gave me my sample of opti-free solution but also a small bottle of rewetting drops meant for hard lenses. Mine are soft and I used the drops a few times. Will this damage my eyes or contacts?

Nothing critical, with that usage.

The preservative in *some* hard lens solutions is incompatible with soft lenses, and over time builds up on the lenses, with the potential to cause some degree of eye irritation or reaction.

On trial lenses it's not going to be too much of an issue, but the compatibility should be double-checked if wetting drops are going to be used in the future.
The assistant may have known exactly what she was doing, or may have overlooked the preservative compatibility issue.

Dont worry about that! Your eyes and contacts will be ok. Those drops are just lubricants for hard lenses. They are not prescribed for soft lenses because you do not really need them for those.

Not a bit. You're fine. The office girl probably gave you those just in case you had a dry eye issue.
