Example: We've been going back and forth for years about whether or not I have some form of mental illness. The problem, however, is that whereas she believes I do, I clearly do not. I believe that my experiences can best be explained through Pre-Birth Communications, angelic visitations, ghosts, UFOs, NDEs, etc. I am sensitive to the spirit world but she believes that I have schizophrenia.
I've been having these non-productive conversations with her for years now, and it really irritates me. We literally go around and around in circles and get nowhere. I just want to live a productive life and be accepted by people. Instead, she contantly harps on me and pretty much jumps on me at the drop of a hat. When she gets argumentative, I unfortunately get so back. It is some of the most unproductive conversations ever.
What can I do to not get sucked into these types of conversations? Because everything eventually comes back to this topic, whether we are talking about work or whatever.
