Is she an adult? Then there is nothing you can do for her. Of course if she is a minor, you can force her into treatment.

Now, for you...I recommend Al-Anon. It is for family and friends of alcohols. People there are going through/have gone through the same things you are with your daughter.

How old is she if she under 18 than therapy she has and underlining mental, social or emotional issue. If she ís older than AA, church, or therapy if she agrees too any. Something is wrong in her life that makes her want to drink.Help her by asking her to do stuff with you all the time. Being occupied helps her do something else other than drink. Then once she hasn't had a drink in a couple hours she will start to think as her again, it will help you get closer to the problem. Drinking vitamin c helps make you sober and eating. Take her out in the early day so she hasnt had much to drink yet, have juices and food. Then go do something fun don't say anything to her about what your doing. She has to have fun and realize that everything can be ok, if she trys, and that life is not always so bad. She needs to laugh.Just get closer to her, she might then ask for help in the future.

Al-anon is a good source of help, but you can also find intervention specialists in your local area that can help you, your family, and your daughters friends to confront her in a non-confrontational way and tell her how you've seen her drinking not only effect her in a negative way but also how it has effected all of you. Go to the A and E website from tv and they should have a link to their show intervention, that should have some good tips on how to find someone who is able to help you and your daughter. Good luck to both of you

Al-anon is a great place for you to get advice. If you can't locate them in the phone book, check with community services and they can point you in the right direction. Also you can search the web for Al-anon and state your city and this will plug you in to locations near you.

She has to want to change herself. Its rehab, arrested, dead, cut her out of your life or just sit and watch her fall. Your choice. There are a plethora of groups that can help (AA being only one). It depends where you are living. Most places have detox programs, support groups and such. Go to a meeting and ask for help for her. Ask what you can do to help her. I'm not an expert by any means so i won't tell you everything to do. Go to someone who does. Even the police. I'm sure the local PD can direct you to support groups that can help. Good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear this, we also have alot of alcoholic's in our family.... I would take her to a "Praise Chapel" type of church, alot of times they have "Youth Groups" and "Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting's" for all ages, and they do them with love, and prayer, and the "Power of Prayer" is so "Awesome in these types of churches" and she wont be shamed or made to feel like she's a "Reject" or the only one in the room with a problem in life, and they'll embrace her and make her feel comfortable, and loved.. And she wont even have a hangover once their done praying!! I would go with her, and be her support along with the church, you know.. Just look up either churches of God or Pentecostal churches on Yahoo's yellow pages, in your town, and it would be "Free" to if you go through a church.....Instead of AA meetings they make them pay for those meetings at some of them anyway, so I've heard...... you wont regret your decision looking them up and giving them a call, and asking them for advise, and any of it!! These types of churches also have "Youth Groups" for kids to do things together, and to pray together, and do good clean fun things together to stay busy, after they're done helping her to get cleaned-up!!! It all will be soooo good for your daughter I promise you this!!!
