I would give it to her on your next visit, not mail it. Mailing it sets you up for problems you'd rather not have.

I think it's great that you can give it to her. It's not a total waste of money then and saves her some as well for something she is already taking. Make sure the dosage is the same so no mistake is made. I would think twice though, if it is a narcotic.

Prescriptions are a note which the doctors give to YOU.

I'd highly advise you not to do that, It's pretty much stealing.
It may even be against the law.
But i in no way have anything to do with your life. It's your choice ^^

Hope i helped. ;)

I have done it on occasion. Put in one of those brown envelopes. Put plenty of paper or cotton in bottle so that pills don't rattle.

The government has a lot more to worry about than legally acquired medicine being sent to a family member.

(Make sure you don't send a controlled drug, like Xanax or pain meds).

You can not give your medicine to some one else even if they take the same medication. You can get in to a lot of legal trouble. You might think that's the medication she takes in it might be the wrong one.She might get sick and they will track it back to you.

You will wind up doing a lot of time in Federal Prison if you get caught. You will be breaking Federal law. Let her get her own medications. It's not worth the risk.

I tried to do that as well with a family member but the doctor told me its fraud and illegal. Check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure, but to my knowledge prescriptions are not transferrable.
