I have a relative whose moods change from day to day. One day she is angry and the next she is compuslive. Sometimes she is happy but it is rare. She does not work, have friends, and lives at home. Do you think there is anything that can help her? She has tried medication and therapy to no avail. Thanks

sometimes i think that i am bipolar, but i havent been diagnosed. but even if i was diagnosed, i dont think i would take meds. the reasoning behind this is i just figure that it what i am and it is just a part of who i am and if god made me this way, then maybe i shoudnt change it. i was just wondering if anyone feels the same way. or if you like the highs and lows. i would like to hear everybodys' opinion.

i have done a detox befor but its the problems that come after.Alcohol is my.mask without it i become a recluse and have to relie on my son to do the stoff i cant out side the house. i have a cpn n shes great but i am terrified

im usually a really happy person but 4 the past 3 or 4 weeks i've felt really sad (almost depressed) and it seems like all i want 2 do is cry even though i barely ever can.......im only 13 and the only other time i've ever felt this way was 2 years ago when my uncle died, my dog got hit by a car, and my pet duck got eaten by a bobcat.....what's wrong with me?? is there anything i can do 2 go back 2 the way i used 2 feel (without telling my aunt)?? i've even told my bf that i wanted 2 go die and he got really worried because he thought i ment it (which i kinda did) plz help me!!

A friend of mine is looking to adopt some kids that are in foster care, but shes bipolar and worried that it may have a negative affect on the process. She thinks the state wont allow her to adopt younger children because of her illness. Does anyone know if this is true? Any advice for her?

at random times my heart just starts to beat faster and i feel so dizzy. i can`t breathe well. it feels as though my heart skipped a beat.[if thats possible].i was really worried about my grades lately. do you think it`s a panic attack?can you die from a panic attck?

i have independent studies so i dont go to reg school during the day because i am getting ready to graduate early and got o college.i dont do ne thing during the day just lounge around watching tv and reading and texting. the most active thing i do is go out with my friends. but i need ME time to work on myself INSIDE and OUT i just dont know how.
i need to start working out agian iv gained over 30 pounds in the last year. and every time i try working out it only lasts a week and i get bored and loose motivation. i have no energy at all to even do a push up i feel so gross. i dont know what to do i need help. any ideas???

For the last three nights I have had dreams that are very similiar. I want to know what they might be telling me?!! My first dream; both of my children were being murder and I was trying to save them, but couldn't. The second dream was similiar except my children were being murdered by someone I knew and I didn't try as hard to stop the murder. My dream last night was only my youngest was murdered and I wasn't even there. The other thing that made this one different was I woke up in the middle of the night and I thought she was standing right next to me reaching for me and I tried reaching for her. Of course she wasn't there it is the middle of the night and I was not dreaming any more. Can someone Please tell me what these dreams MIGHT be telling me???

For the past months I have been getting deja vu ALL the time. I feel as if I have lived this life before... I can predict whats going to happen, and what people are thinking... I feel horrible!!! My new doctor prescribed Trileptal for depression. My understanding is this is an epilepsy drug sometimes prescribed for manic depression? Has anyone heard of using it for regular depression or for OCD? Thanks.

I am 21 years old and all my life I have been afraid of being alone at night. I don't feel like I could live by myself for fear and constant worrying of a man breaking in or a fire happening. When I was younger I couldn't fall asleep if my dad was not there or if he wasn't up watching tv. If I am alone in the bedroom at night when I look into the dark I start worrying if someone is there and all my life have imagined images in the dark. If I am by myself I need to fall asleep with the tv on and the door to the bedroom has to be almost completely shut so that I am not staring out into the dark. I'm not the type of person who's scared of horror movies and get's bad dreams. Is anyone else like this... is this a legitimate phobia?

i see deformity and disfiguration someone help me i have already tried to end my life as im so ugly like really repulsive and i dint nknow e=what to do any more im so scared of the outcome of my life i dont sleep anymore im lost alone isolated desperate im not an attention seeker it is what i see truly i know i may gett on some of your nerves but it is very real to me and is very debiliating and horrible i dont know what or whom i am any more i jsut dont know can any one help im cracking up in my tears all alone with just a candle for some light im breaking down every night and every day what is wrong with me please what is it i see and others dont help me i dont know how to post a link and i wouldnt want to scare you to death with my horrendous facial apppearance have you any advice how do overcome what i look like

I go through stages of depression and being really happy...
My mom says to take in account the stages of the moon, time of the month, what I eat, if it's sunny outside...

But i mean, one day i'll be upbeat and confident and the next I'll be downright angry, depressed and tired.

Any help??

Can you get post partum depression even when u didn't give birth, but after you have a miscarriage..

The reason I ask is because i lost my bundle of joy at 12 weeks after two years of trying... i can't stop crying, i see a baby on TV and I cry.. all my TV shows i watch it is always having to due with a baby, a pregnancy, or something. I know it takes a while, but.. i feel like I have sever depression. I don't get dressed, i can't eat, i can't sleep... I don't know what to do anymore.... i dont want this to but a damper on my husband and I's relationship... I know it hurts him (the lost) but he doesn't show it as much as I do... i feel like I am dying inside.. like.. I cant live anymore...

I was prescribed Cymbalta for about 5 mos. Now I'm off of it and I get these brain zaps throughout the day. Wondering if they will last or taper off after awhile. Been feeling irritable and anxiuos too. Having wierd dreams. The zaps don't hurt but kinda catch me off guard. Anybody know what I mean? Thanks.
