Can you get post partum depression even when u didn't give birth, but after you have a miscarriage..

The reason I ask is because i lost my bundle of joy at 12 weeks after two years of trying... i can't stop crying, i see a baby on TV and I cry.. all my TV shows i watch it is always having to due with a baby, a pregnancy, or something. I know it takes a while, but.. i feel like I have sever depression. I don't get dressed, i can't eat, i can't sleep... I don't know what to do anymore.... i dont want this to but a damper on my husband and I's relationship... I know it hurts him (the lost) but he doesn't show it as much as I do... i feel like I am dying inside.. like.. I cant live anymore...

I feel like a failure as a woman and a wife... i hate life right now. I was once a happy woman... now.. i just cant stand being on earth.

I'm so sorry Hun. i went throe the same thing at 8 weeks and i went thro a depression for a month and half, i didn't start having sex until 3 months later because i was so devastated. you just dont want to do anything other then cry and feel depressed over a loss you just suffered, but remember you will come out of it and you can always try again when your ready. I'm pregnant again after 7 months later of having my miscarriage. so there is hope and never give up. everything happens for a reason and i believe that you will get pregnant again and have a healthy baby, when the time is right dont give up. take care and i hope the best for you.

Hi sweety,
Its definatley depression honey. But it is a normal responce for someone going through what your going through right at this time in your life. These are normal responces sweety. The best thing you can do now is talk to your Doctor or a professional about how you are feeling. It will help you I think the most. Sometimes there are no words to relieve your pain but I promise it does get easier. Thanks for your question sweety. God Bless you and I will pray for you to have the family that you want and deserve.

Sorry on your loss. sure, that is conceivable to wade through from post-partum melancholy. You gave beginning, so your hormones are somewhat loopy. I imagine that is difficult to split the sadness over the shortcoming of your infant from conceivable melancholy. refer on your physician. sturdy luck.
