hey guys it really got me tensed 2 learn that there is no cure for OCD is it true.do i have 2 suffer my entire life.
my doc says it is cureable.but some 1 at yahoo told me its not curable.plz help me i am worried

My problem lies with the stress of trying to run my house that has a sky high mortgage a naughty three year old boy and a destructive dog and when i start to panic i will get a beer to calm my nerves but obviuosly i cant do this at work could it be beer or my life

I'm interested to know if there are any health risks for people taking Anti-Psychotics & 5HTP?

The main AP i'm referring to is called Seroquel and the person taking the medication has 2x 600mg doses daily.

This person is considering taking 5HTP once or twice a day to replenish serotonin levels.

Even a what you can/What you can't website URL would be great, i'm sure there are some in the public domain, like your doctor would lookup to be certain your new med's wont have a bad reaction with your current med's.

And if there isn't such a site on the public domain, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON DOCTOR! ...thx

i had adhd as a child, now its bi polar the docs says so.......i am not understanding why it has taken so long for the docs to find out what was wrong with me..most meds dont work....... i havent been on meds for 3 years and it feels like my mind speeds 500 miles a minute, even when i am depressed. i feel really different.. i am not a mean person in the heart but boy can i snap.. how can i deal with this before i start to see a phyc doc?

I'm 25 years old. A computer science student in a well known university in our country. I've always considered myself as one of the best in our class. I was even one of our schools representatives in an international programming contest. But alot has happened during my senior year - I didn't take my responsibilities as i should have. This year, I failed my third chance to graduate.I was unable to finish my senior project due various reasons. I had to let go of several good opportunities because of it. I feel like so damn stupid.. I often feel like giving up.. How should I handle my failures in life?

I would like to know--- one moment my ex girl friend (who ended the relationship) wanted to try a 6 mo. period to see if we would be good together as we have had some breakups before this,and wanted to travel with me on ski trips we planned,and then 4 days later said we were through as she loved me emotionally but realisticely we were not good for each other.We have to many differences.Before she was all for us being together. Is this common when someone has bipolar and is on meds.I`m completely confussed.She also said she promissed herself to end this and she would not change her mind.

I have had 28 treatments over the past two years. My last treatment was January 2006- To this day, I can barely remember up to about 4 months back, and before that NOTHING. In another 4 months, I won't rememeber anything before today. .Help. This is serious.

My girl broke up with me.She is Bi-Polar and one major issue was she got irratated by little things,and never told me.Her words,I don`t think things through & stupid things bug me.I`m hyper-sensitive to a lot of stuff,that others wouldn`t be.I have to work on this.---- My question--, is this related to being Bi-polar, I see the mood swings but i guess i didn`t notice this part.

I've never been on anti-depressants before, and I know the results of every kind vary person to person, but I've never met anyone who's taken Celexa and I'd just like to know first-hand from some medical professionals or others who've been on it or are taking it what it's like? I've got to have some kind of change in my life and it sounded like a good one for me...but they (anti-depressants) all sound the same just reading the description.

has anyone had nausea throat tightning chest pain like pressure or sharp or..and shortness of breath i also have arm and hand numbness and sharp stabbing arm pain mainly left arm i have had 4 Ekgs 2 blood test and 2 chest xrays within this year i am obese i am 18 YEAR OLD PAIN UNDER BREAST TO LIKE CLOSER TO CENTER ALSO ARM PAIN UNDER ARM PIT WORSE WITH STRESS all i think is heart sttack i had three different doctors say gas anxiety or gerd from the hospital different times.sometime i can feel a pulse in throat rapid heartbeat and a throb in left upper arm i am gagging alot for some reason i think this is a good website anxietycentre.com i think i also get cramping or burning in my arm has anyone had this also gut cramps diareha.Thanks

i have nightmares that are so bad that i dont want to sleep. i wish that i could say that they come from watching scarry movies but that would be a lie. i have seen my D.R. and all they want to do is medicate me. and i hate taking meds. but i do so that i dont freak out. and i get some sleep. all i can say to describe my dreams is that they are so bad they make stephin king movie look like a fairy tale. and thats bad. so what should i do??

After every break from school i feel like i slip into deep depression or at least thats what i think it is... i feel like total crap, unproductive and anything seems to upset me at night i sometimes stay up for hours just cry for no apperant reason. Like right now its 11:13 pm on a school night i feel like i should tell someone but... I feel they wont care about my problem or just make fun of me for it. The only emotions i seem to be able to tap into are sadness, anger and dispair im a normal teenage boy who just wants to live my life without a cloud of sadness hanging over me keeping me from doing the things i like i just want to be normal..... I have i doctors apointment soon and i am thinking about telling my doctor about my depression the weird thing is it only occurs after a schoool break i think i need help.

I don't think normally im always focused on death and i can't relax and just live life... im to worried about choking on something, getting soap in my mouth and any muscle spasm that appears or etc i think its serious and worry about that .... what can i do to change this? to enjoy life like i use to before my mind went wacky?
