what meds are good for bipolar? i have taken 7 different kinds and nothing has worked.

Lithium, depakote, tegretol, lamictal, topiramate, are mood stabilizers.
Abilify, Seroquel, Risperdal, are mood stabilizers/antipsychotics, as they help with hallucinations and delusions or paranoia as well.
You probably will need a combination, the right combination, of one or two of the above plus or minus an antidepressant. This can only be found by trying different meds to find what suits you.

Eevryone is different. Lamictal and Zyprexa works wonderfully for me. Most people end up on a combination of drugs, so you may have a few goes yet on the med-go-round. Don't lose hope.

St Johns wort- available in the vitamin section of the drugstore and a complete mulivitamin along with cinnamon pills are helping me very much. I cycle once a week now vs. 4 times a day. Also take a look at what is making you switch and see if you can regulate that or get rid of the trigger.
Get sleep and drink lots of water as well.
