hey..
I'm 25 years old. A computer science student in a well known university in our country. I've always considered myself as one of the best in our class. I was even one of our schools representatives in an international programming contest. But alot has happened during my senior year - I didn't take my responsibilities as i should have. This year, I failed my third chance to graduate.I was unable to finish my senior project due various reasons. I had to let go of several good opportunities because of it. I feel like so damn stupid.. I often feel like giving up.. How should I handle my failures in life?

No, you know what you did and did not do. You're not stupid, by any stretch of the imagination...Many brilliant people procrastinate in spite of the outcome. You know what the problem is, and you know now that you can't give up. You must just really take a deep breath, and start again,...at 25 years old,..you can still be accomplished at whatever you want before you are thirty years old...The world is yours for the taking..now stop being silly, and use that God given gift you have, and be successful!!! Good Luck, I am proud of you!

Its easy to look at the failure and forget about the successes. You got accepted at a good school. You're young. Your grades are above average,. You had a chance to represent your school and make inportant contacts. You recognize that you made some mistakes. (many people never admit that). Jake Steinberg stated that failure is a sign that you're living and trying. Dead people don't make mistakes. The important thing when you get knocked down, is to get up off the ground, review the situation, get the resources you need, and try again.

Just relax & be positive. Take one matter at a time, consider the pros & cons and then deal with it. Failure is a part & parcel of life. Accept it, do what you can & move ahead with life. This way you'll be able to sort out matters & complete your studies. Good Luck!

believe me, you could be a lot worse off. At least you got a chance to go to college. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and pull yourself up by the bootstraps

Failures keep you humble. Always good to know you are not all-knowing/all-powerful etc.

Start again. Now that you know the worst thing that could happen, failure won't scare you.
