The Government/State would sell off everything you own and keep the money.

Make a will NOW!!! My partner died suddenly last February, we weren't married and didn't have a will. His soon to be ex wife(2 weeks away from the decree absolute) got the lot. Although we had never met before she even came to my house and tried to take things my partner had given to me. There is no decency where money and death are concerned, people will do the most incredibly cruel things, so make a will and have things your way!Better safe than sorry.

with no immediate Family. It's down to the council in which your body is discovered or the hospital where you die, - they'' contact your local authority who will then arrange a solicitor to try and track your friends and family usually through the press. an undertaker will dispose of your body in a small but humble council crematorium if no one comes forward. All your belongs will be cleared and anything of value will be sold to fund the house clearance and cremation and undertaker/ Solicitor cost and if you own your house or have valuable possessions these will be sold and the government will gladly receive your funds into their own. Sad horrible truth but true non the less.

That depends were you live. Most countries have rules for distributing the estate of a person who dies intestate (without a will). If you are concerned, I'd make one, it's not hard.

there would be a public notice in papers asking any next of kin or anyone who would have a claim on your estate to contact the Public Office, then - assuming no-one does - it all goes to the State.
If you haven't got anyone that you want to leave it all to then I suggest you find a charity and leave it all to them, so at least some good comes of it!
(failing that, you could always leave it to me!!)

It depends on the laws you live under. Generally dying intestate (without a will) is not a good idea.

Linda, please don't even be contemplating this....but if you are serious...you need to get a will if you are sick...or at least tell someone of your concerns...don't procrastinate, get something in writing asap...But I hope you are not just suicidal, you have four little ones who love you dearly...Please, pray to God and Jesus, to guide you and bring you out of this, if this is what you are thinking...life can, and will get better....
