I am 14 years old and I'm curious if I am suffering from insomnia. I can feel restless after having eight hours of sleep. Sometimes, I can even feel more active when I get four hours of sleep. When I try to fall asleep, my mind starts racing and before I know it, a few hours have passed. I tried limiting my sleep, so I'd feel tired the next night, but it doesn't work. I'll feel sleepy during the day, but active at night.

I have OCD. I also think I have ADD and the two don't mix well. I did well in my undergrad but was smart enough to never have to study. Now I'm in grad school and studying is crucial to even pass. I cannot sit down to read. I'll read like a page or a half a page and get distracted. Doc says I have ADD (for other reasons too). I have always had trouble trying to sit and read but if I don't I will flunk out of school - I moved here just to do this, it is my life dream... He prescribed Adderall XR, I hope it will work, but I have no insurance and it is expensive. Do they sell high doses in tablets that I can cut in half or something to cut down on my cost? Also is there anyone else out there in my shoes? How do you deal? Help please!! Right now I am really worried. Thank you so much!

She gets too nervous about anything she can think of. I actually got a call from her teacher last year about her shyness. She doesn't like to go to birthday parties, because of there being "too many kids"....Is prozac the only answer, or are there natural vitamins that really would help...I'd hate to have to put her on medicine, but I want my little girl back....what should i do?...she is nine....HELP!

Can you break up a prozac capsule and dissolve it in a drink? I am starting back on Prozac after being off it for awhile and want to gradually get myself back. I thought I read somewhere that you could dissolve it in orange juice and drink half of it so you don't get the whole dose.

I am the latter and have been for a long time. What is YOUR story?

As a help here are some things to think about (thank you Brain Tracy):

Optimists: control their reactions and responses, isolate an Incident (don't take everything personally), see setbacks as temporary events, don't take failure personally, remain calm and objective, view a negative situation as a single event not connected to other potential events & caused largely by external factors over which (one) can have little control.

Pessimists: sees negative events as permanent, as part of life and destiny, sees incidents as pervasive (they are indications of a problem or shortcoming that pervades every area of life), has a tendency to take EVERYTHING personally. can be at MOST times angry, upset, or distracted

This little voice also tells me to ask weird questions so people will think I'm crazy. The voice kinda sounds like Homer Simpson. The problem is the voice never tells me any thing useful like "your winning lottery numbers are......." Any ideas on how I can get useful information out of the voice in my head?

Right now I am going totally mad, my head's heavy and I I just don't feel good at all!
:(
I had a bad test in the morning and since then I am feeling very low...but right now it feels like my head might burst! I have talked to friends, and that doesn't help. I have already tried doing all the stuff that I normally enjoy...but nothing helps....
I am not on any sort of medication and this doesn't happen to me everyday, its just that I can't seem to get out of this today!!!
