Right now I am going totally mad, my head's heavy and I I just don't feel good at all!
:(
I had a bad test in the morning and since then I am feeling very low...but right now it feels like my head might burst! I have talked to friends, and that doesn't help. I have already tried doing all the stuff that I normally enjoy...but nothing helps....
I am not on any sort of medication and this doesn't happen to me everyday, its just that I can't seem to get out of this today!!!

thank you all for your great answers!
Well, I feel much better after watching a movie, and also after reading all these answers! :)
I am a teetotaller, so drinking is ruled out, jogging/exercising is a good idea, and meditation is a very good concept too!
now I know, I am not the only one facing such problems!
:)

We all have day that that, it is normal. Was it only over a bad test? Don't beat yourself up about it. I like to think of things like this... " Why is this bothering me? Am I going to be thinking of this on my deathbed?" If the answer is no, I try to let it go.

Ok, for one don't drink like someone suggested. Alcohol is a depressant and will only make the feelings worse!! Everyone gets down and out every now and again. For women it could be hormones. They can seriously play with your emotions. I had a serious depression problem from age 13-24. I was on every pill they make for it and nothing seemed to help. I started seeking alternative ways to cope. I started going to a place called Specialized Nutrition. I had a hair analysis done and the results were amazing! It shows all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that my body lacked. I got on a regiment of taking natural meds to get my body where it should be and I feel like a new person!!

Relax. It's just a test. You could have done well or badly. Whatever you do now, you can't change it. You can only move on and try harder next time. Learn from this experience. I suggest going for a jog (like 20 minutes). You'll get a "runner's high," and that might help. Also, take a warm shower.
If this feeling persists for more than a week, see a doctor. Keep talking to your friends and don't coop yourself inside the house.

gives you a big hug!!! since you don't feel like this all the time, you most likely do not need any meds anyway.... ..are you depressed because of the bad test or do you think its something else?... if you feel a general sense of depression you might want to think about consulting a counselor/ social worker... and if they feel you might benefit from medication they will refer you ... they can be very helpful and insightful... perhaps more so that your friends because they can be more objective.... I know you said it has not helped to do the things you normally enjoy , but dwelling on it will only make it last longer and deepen your depression too.... perhaps getting out of the house for a while and doing something totally different, or going to see a movie might help? feel better soon!!!

I'm sorry you are feeling this way, and if the normal things you do aren't making a differnce, have you tried seraching the web for suggestions? I suffer from depression, not currently on meds, I usually talk with friends, and if that doesn't help, I will go for a walk, watch a funny movie, and usually this will help. If this goes on for more than a day or two, maybe you can go to a professional for help. Have you tried meditaion? Good luck and know that there are people out there.

Go to the kitchen and get some protein, meat, a can of tuna (salmon is better) or whatever, and eat it. Also have some carbohydrate, like a handful of chips, an apple, or some carrots/celery, and also some nuts or peanut butter. Eat at least 2 ounces of the protein. Then drink a glass of water and do something mildly active for 30 minutes, like forcing yourself to sing, or take a walk, or stretching exercises. You may find your negativity has lessened a bit.

Where are my anti-depressants?! Try music to lift your mood...it causes the brain to produce the chemicals which banish depression!
