I'm certain the anxiety and worry are worse when you fight sitting down to work. This may take a multi-pronged approach, but you can get better fairly quickly if you get the appropriate help.
First, if your doctor isn't one, go see a board certified psychiatrist. They may be able to give you a set of medications that will deal with the particular issues you're facing. I've seen people take Prozac or a similar SSRI medication in tandem with a stimulant such as Ritalin. They should also be able to get you some sample medicines to tide you over for a few months (at least until you know the effects).
Second, find a therapist who has worked well in helping with the OCD. (I'll assume for now that the ADD will respond pretty well to the stimulant.) OCD includes a significant amount of anxiety and perfectionism. Cognitive therapy can help you develop a plan to deal with both of these issues in such a way as to make progress fairly quickly.
Third, consider signing up for some training in meditation. There is some evidence that meditation (and oddly, exercise as well) can assist in helping people follow through on tasks they want to accomplish. Let your instructor know that you have ADD so that they can tailor the meditative practice to fit your particular style.
Good luck. This problem is beatable, and you can finish graduate school and emerge to the next level of your professional career.

I deal with the same thing. Working for me is really hard i cant focus ussually on anything. Sleeping is also a hard thing to do because my mind is going a mile a minute. What ive learned to do is a few simpl practices to help me focus. Try energy drinks, they ussually help me a bit the b12 and b6 have a positive reaction to me. Im not saying it will do the same for you but there alot cheaper then haveing to buy $100 worth of medication. Also ask your doctor if you can get the generic form of adderall, which i have no clue why your on that u should try ritalin if you are going for medications. But like i said try and find something that will focus your mind and go from there.

Sorry, I only have ADD. I know you are going to survive because if you are already in a graduate school, that means you had already made it through with a Bachelor with the B average.
You need to see if you can get health insurance through your school so the cost of medications won't burden you.
Even though, I have ADD, I have to take my medications on a regular basis or I will put myself at a high risk for seizures, the grand mal. I had to go through four different types of medications (which each lasted between 3 to 6 months each) before my doctors and I found which medications stabalize.

The adderall should help somewhat. However, it does ware off and the crash can be hard. Adderall come in tablets up to 30mg. You should get a life coach. They will help you organize yourself and your studying such that you can actually have a chance. Also if ADD diagnoses can be verified you can get reasonable accommodations like tape recording lectures and extended time on tests. I would also look into getting student insurance. Your school should offer it.

You really need professional advice on this. I hope you have a good Family Physician that you trust. If you have not been to see a Psychiatrist it is another option. You have to trust and remember that the medications take a while to kick n and improve things. They will not cure. Be patient and try to get advice on relaxation techniques that suit you. Exercise is definately one for a person like you. Also a word of caurion, alcohol and other mind altering substances will make things much worse

LOLOL I had to chortle once you hit the word 'muse refuses muting' via fact it is so antithetical to the assumption of the theory, yet additionally via fact it rather is one in each and every of those phonologically playful turn of word. i admire the assumption of a team consultation for EWD victims via fact i may be there. Heck i might chair a concentration team or 3... i'm writing reference books for uncomplicated pupils, a singular, poetry, and company information as a representative. each and every so often i think of I form in my sleep, and in spite of the undeniable fact that i admire writing I despise the actual actuality of typing hours each and daily. Ugh! So particular, i can become responsive to with this poem... I even have too many words to fill my hours. My hands are numb from typing all of them day; each and every so often, i think of of young human beings while i'd desire to play rather of slave away my mortal powers. The checklist of what i could finished nevertheless towers; No lead to sight and yet for one I pray via fact i'd desire to sleep, one's nerves will fray without it, and the entire of one's existence sours. Will all my efforts deliver me ripe renown? by some skill I doubt that there is a pot of gold For me while all my limitless writing's carried out. Ah popularity, the very theory makes blood run chilly And turns my little smile right into a frown. A sequel? Ha! Now does not that be exciting...
