I took Zoloft for a long time....it takes awhile for your body to get adjusted to it. Usually, your doctor should have you "ramp up" your meds....say starting with 25 mg for the first week, and go up 25 mg each week until the correct dosage for YOU is found. Everyone is different, everyone responds to drugs differently, and Zoloft may not be the right drug for you. There are a whole bunch of other drugs out there, Zoloft is a common one, but not the only one.
Talk to your doctor about your symptoms and he/she may want to take you off and try something else. Or they might say just wait it out, it will get better.
Sometimes a combo of drugs works the best.
Again, I don't remember having these side effects, but I do remember not wanting to eat much for the first month or so (LOVED that side effect, LOL), and I remember yawning an awful lot with Zoloft.
Since you also have Anxiety, you may need to try something like Buspar or Xanax (Xanax only as needed as it can become addicting).
Good luck to you. But call your doctor!! There are other drugs out there, and they should make you feel better, not worse.
Take care,

I am taking Zoloft along with other medications. If you are being very irritable and a bit snappy, you need to go to your doctor right away. Your doctor will prescribe a control substance to stabilize your body, and then your doctor has to put you on another medications.
With me, I was already on neutrontin and depokate before adding zoloft. The mixture of the 3 medications made me function better than ever before. I do not have anxiety disorder or OCD, but ADD.

This is a fairly common and transient side efect of SSRIs the family of drugs that Zoloft belongs to. Unless it is intolerable give it a chance to settle into your system. I've never heard of it being used for OCD. Discuss with your doctor, Sexual sie effects are the most prevalent with the SSRIs by the way

The side effects of Zoloft are: agitation, weight gain, intestinal problems, fatigue, clear-headedness, flat-line- feelings of having no feelings-not up, not down, no emotion at all. Maybe you need to cut the amount you take, call your doctor and see what he wants you to do.. Good luck Zella

Actually, I had the opposite affect...some medications work for some and not for others. You may have to switch to something else. Be sure and let the doctor know. In the mean time, just try to hang in there. Sometimes...easier said than done.
