But I still can't seem to shake the anxiety chest pain off. It pisses me off, I have thoughts running through my mind, what if I'm dying a slow death, what if I will never get better, I'am really scared, I'm on Lexapro 20mg. Can you nhave constant tightness in your chest due to anxiety? Any advise would really help, please.

Someone I know is in need of a detox-for drugs and alcohol. And the family wants to give her an ultimatum/intervention to tell her to either get help or they'll kick her out of the house. The problem is they need to have a place where she can go to detox if she chooses to get help. Also she has no current insurance. Can detoxes take peope w/o insurance and will it cost that person a lot of money w/o insurance? This person will die soon it seems like-if detox w/o insurance is going to be expensive (which they can't afford) what do you do just let her die? I know about AA/NA but s needs to detox first! Can you help?

I have seen several people arrested for murder, sex crimes and more and the news says this person was in a mental health program or had asked for help and didn't get it before the incident happened. If there are so many people in need of mental health, why isn't it more available and if they live with other people - why don't they seem to try to help instead of waiting until someone gets hurt or worse.

I'm trying to get off sleeping pills I've been relying on, but I'm having serious insomnia troubles without them. My body feels exhausted, but my mind doesn't seem to and lately I just don't get a comfortable, tired feeling at bedtime. I have anxiety issues, and I had an anxiety attack while trying to sleep, so I think that is hooked into it. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

We have been married for nearly 21 years now and he hasn't touched me in almost 13 years. He sleeps on top of the covers and also surrounds himself with pillows. I don't think he uses soap because even after a shower, he smells. It's like he does this deliberately. He used to say he loved me, until last year after he bought a laptop that he keeps locked up and secure, and has always said, he "has nothing to hide." I find this very hard to believe...what's going on? Anyway, I've been talking to men online, and he knows about it, I don't try to hide it. All of a sudden he's upset with me. Well, what else am I supposed to do? He's not interested and I need MORE than a nice card on my birthday and anniversary, if you get my drift.
I keep myself in good shape for my age and keep myself clean and neat looking. There is no reason for him to be turned off at all.
So, any input?

It's been so much fun being in school when I look back at it. Now I have to graduate and face the real world. When your in school your always in groups with people. How can this happen outside school life? Because people seem to be careful with who they meet and talk to as adults. I have plans of joining the Royal Navy here in Australia, so I think it'll be easier for me to connect with other people.

What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I tend to be a wimp sometimes. Someone says something abusive and then my mind goes blank and I don't have a response. My mind is all flooded so I don't say anything at all. I always have an answer 10 minutes later but it is too late. Any hints to overcome this blanking out?

My roomate smokes (Marlboro) and it makes the house and my clothes wreak. She's only allowed to smoke in her room but it's really embarrising. She's trying to quit and she bought an air purifier and uses candles and stuff but it's not working. I can take my clothes out and wear them straight out of the drier but they still have the smell. I'll be in this house with her for the next couple of years and I really need some kind of advice. please?

Human Mind is a mystery. And so is the scheme of things that goes around in this world and perhaps with him, his mind & soul. Generally seen, an avarage human mind is capable of mustering defense and courage to combat the adversities he faces around him in the outer world and also deep down within himself. But what if this game of balance gets disrrupted for a person, who still realizing everything what he's going through, gradually only gets averse to believe in any turn-arounds in life. Starts believing himself as lost, losing hopes in life. Can't even express it properly either to himself or to any body else. Too afraid to open-up. What's the best possible way to bring him back to believe in life again, when perhaps he finds it too difficult to discuss it even to a doctor or a counselor?
