It is human nature to feel afraid of our futures, the fear of the unknown. But it is unhealthy to continue thinking about the future 24-7. You can't change the past and you can't change the future, but you do have control in the present.

It is a shame that you were poor when you were little. But that experience shouldn't frighten you so much now. Do you know how to budget your money?

Here is a sample of what you could do each month:
1. Pay your rent (if you don't own your own place)
2. Pay your other bills; like heat, water& sewage; utilities;telephone bill; garbage; etc. etc.

(These must be paid first!)

3. Then do up your shopping list for groceries. Get your groceries.
4. Buying other things that are not necessary things, is considered a luxury. Be wise and watchful with your money. Re-gardless if you have a lot of money at the end of the month, say to yourself "do I really NEED this shirt or do I WANT this shirt" if the answer is need, then buy it, if the answer is want, then wait for another day. Try and have a little left over each month so then when a new month comes, there will be more money in the bank than you had before. In other words, the money you chose to save last month, will be carried over into the next month and when you get paid and put your pay check into the bank, the two added money figures will add up to more money you can spend.

Do this for about 6 months and then you won't have to worry so much. And as you learn how to save and spend money wisely, then your future will look more positive.

Good luck to you and I hope you have a great day!

Concentrate on the good things in your life. Here's some suggestions. Before you go to bed every night, take three minutes to write down everything that went well that day. Try thinking more often about the things in your life you are grateful for and what you are hopeful about. Everybody worries. That's normal. But you don't have to let it take control of your thinking if you don't want to.
