Firstly u need to be at peace with yourself

By that i mean you have to look in the mirror and write down what you see. I don't think you can tackle this on your own but it's a start..

By having counselling, they will ask you this -- ask you what it is you see when you look at yourself in a mirror- it's a very important factor. Paranoia is sole destroying as you know yourself and nobody can help u unless you try help yourself. It may be that you have some issues that need addressing- it could even be something from your past upsetting you.. Whatever the problem please consider talking to somebody about.. If you don't try you will never know

Good luck

Well, I'm a very paranoid person, along with other mental "disorders", and i find that smoking the ganj actually calms me down quite a bit. If you're chilling with people you trust, in a safe environment, you should be set. If you're in an unstable environment, you might get super paranoid. I remember smoking a blunt once outside the doctor's office near my old house and getting paranoid that communists were coming to get me and my sister. But I'm just strange. Give it a try if you'd like, in a safe place.

The other people who have answered are correct. If you really have paranoia, you need PROFESSIONAL help. You won't get the answers here - it is a long road but you can get there.

I can't diagnose you as I'm not a physician but I had this problem when I was younger. I found mine was due to confidence but that maybe not the case for you! I would get profesional help.

Realizing a problem and working on it stop the problem is key to solving the problem. its good that you understood your paranoid illness. My mother is a parniod..she demolished the whole family with such an illness..she always thinks what she does is write and some one sobagating her intentionaly. She refused to accept its a problem....i think you can come out of the problem...medicine can help .. but selfhelp and working on youself to chage things will make it come of problem. Read lots of self help books...and work on it...i am sure it works well more than the dizzy medicine that doctors prescribe. Try Yoga and mediation...it helps to identify yourself and be yourself.

This doesn't sound like paranoia, I think you just have low self-esteem.

Sounds like you might have low self esteem or social phobia. Go to the doctor he will be able to help you, don't worry a lot of people have these problems.

i dont like people looking at me either and my partner assures me its because i'm beautiful and its a bit like seeing beauty and the beast walking down the street. i'd just hold your head high and smile at everyone (it confuses people) and when people smile back you'll feel better about yourself
