Thanks.

I've heard people say it's bad to rub your eyes. Obviously I understand it would be bad if you had something dangerous like a chemical in your eyes. But is it bad otherwise, if you're eye just itched or you were sleepy? If so what damage does it do?

Hi, I have been under huge torment for the past 6 months, due to the phlegm in throat. Personally, I love to sing, and this has been affecting me ever since then.
Even though I take pills and find ways to cure it, there is still a min. amount of phlgem exising.
I tried to cough, but it had became more serious.
Its not as if I have a whole chunk of phlegm inside my throat, Its only a mininum amount, but its already to the extent of not enabling me to sing high pitch notes..
Imagine your interest being killed for 6 months, and still counting!
Anyone know of any good solution to clear away the leftover phlegm? Any answer will be appreciated, but no offensive lang, please! I am serious. =) Thanks!

My son, who is 10 months, has always has an accumulation of yellow puss on his left eye. I was told it was a plugged tear duct and it would heal on it's own by 9 months(from the dr). I also heard that if it didn't he'd need surgery!?(i'm scared to take him back to the dr, thinking he might need it) I'm just wondering if there is anything less invasive that I could try. It bothers him and me, i'm always wiping his eye.

It kind of sounds soothing. Like bubble-bath. But, would it be bad for my skin or something?

Is it when one eye-lid i a little lower than the other? I seem to have this, it isnt really noticable unless you really stare at me. I seem to notice it more in the mornings where one eyelide(my right one) is always a bit lower and seems to have a wrinkle, but during the day you cant really notice it. Sometimes it looks like one eye is lower than the other one even tho its not. Is this lazy eye? What can i do?

If a person was pointed out to you, and you never met them.....how would you view them, knowing they were an alcoholic?

This may be a stupid question but I just wanted to no.

I practically live at my fiance's and his parents smoke really heavily. Although we are always upstairs in his room with the door closed, is it causing me any harm???
Also they smoke doing everything, cooking, cleaning including ironing. When I use a towel when I have a bath it smells of smoke, is it unheigenic for my skin like that?

If you're taking Rozerem, the newest prescription sleep aid, or if you've taken it before, I'd love to know what you do or don't like about it. :)

I've been thinking of asking my doctor for it, as it apparently has zero capacity to become "addictive". It also sounds like the most "natural" drug in how it works. FYI: I don't need sleep help all the time. I only need help when I have to go to bed abnormally early on a particular night, due to having to rise abnormally early the next morning.

My normal "sleep onset" is somewhat late, but that's OK usually, since my work schedule is flexible and my commute is short. HOWEVER, if I need to be up super-early to catch a plane, leave for a roadtrip, etc., I'd ideally like to go to bed extra early the night before. But, no luck!! :( I've tried chamomile, Benadryl, melatonin, meditation, warm baths -- I just can't fall asleep at a time my body &/or brain perceives as "way too early".

THAT'S when I hope a pill like Rozerem can help! :)

He seems to drink about 5-6 pints a day, every day, which to me is much too much.

But he never has any problems with it. He never misses work, and him and his wife get on really well (she drinks a bit too, though not as much as him).

I've been looking at websites about drinking, and it's been difficult to work out how bad things are. They all agree that he's drinking too much, but they all assume that it must be causing problems in his life, and it just isn't.

He's never obviously drunk, never aggressive or violent, has a successful career and is doing ok in life. He gets on great with his kids.

I know he would never get involved with anything like AA (I've been on the website and all the "higher power" stuff would just make him laugh like a drain).

I'm not even sure if I should say anything at all. I just worry that he might end up on the liver transplant waiting list, and I'd hate for that to happen without me at least having made an effort.

Anyone got any advice?

I have a problem with my scalp. My skin is very dry and I am not sure if it is dandruff or maybe somehting serious. The flakes are out of control. When I wash my hair it is okay until it dries. I also have scabs on my scalp sometimes. This is very embarassing. No dandruff shampoos seem to help me. Do you have any suggestions? I am really thinking about seeing a doctor.

I just noticed this the other day... My right arm doesnt swing when I walk. Im pretty sure that it use to. I have been working out and weight lifting for about 6 months. Im female so I havent bulked up or anything, just toned up and my left arm swings just fine. Is this weird or what? I also noticed about 9 months ago that when I roller skate I have a hard time keeping my balance on me left leg, so I never move it when I skate(ice skate or roller skate). I dont know... Im probably worrying over nothing... but I just thought it was weird. Let me know if you know what it is. Thanks.

I think I'll probably get a lot of answers like "if you ask, then you are...", but here are the details.

I usually drink a couple of beers or a couple of shots each night when I get home from work. I never feel like I "have" to take that drink, it is just something that I do. I have gone months without drinking, and I never have the "shakes", and I never stress getting drunk, but when I'm home I like to drink.

And I've never woken up and taken a drink "to get through the day", or to cure a hangover.

I have no problem being the designated driver, but if I am, I usually have a couple of drinks when I get home even if my wife goes to bed. I've noticed this habit between me and my wife. Regardless of what the drink is, be it wine, beer or whiskey, we usually have a couple of drinks every day.

Is this the sign of an alcoholic, or is this just a bad habit that we've formed over the years?
