When a person is sick, their body really pays the toll. You end up feeling extremely weak and tired. Muscles are "robbed" so that your body can work on building up its resistance to the cold and making you feel better.

One of the things I've found that does help is a childrens drink called pedialyte. It contains electrolytes as well as some vitamins and minerals. It helps to not make me as weak and painful when I'm sick.

Another little hint is: When cold/flu season starts, try to use "Airborne". It was made by a teacher to deal with all the colds kids get, to help her /him not get sick too. It comes in tablet and powder form. You can add it to a bottle of water and not even really taste it. (You can taste it a bit, but not terribly strong). It truly DOES help. I used to drive public transport vehicles (City buses)....Airborne was a wonderful product, I was never sick when everyone else was miserable.

I hope you feel better soon...Good luck.

Have you been eating properly? Often when you're sick you don't feel like eating. This causes general lethargy and weakness, especially after a few days, so it's quite possible your hand problems are a side-effect of not eating properly.
