I appear and look like a pretty healthy young male and am, except that i have a number of problems all relating to weak muscles. I've seen Physical therapists for a number of things (imbalanced or tight muscles due to muscle weakness) that are a result of sitting at my desk the whole day at work, yet others that are not physically active at all and dont have the same problems . The therapists give me a few exercises to target those muscles..but ive always seen a chiropractor b/c of weak muscles around my back my spine wont stay aligned...along with many problmes over the years such a a weaker jaw which results in a slight case of tmj, fallen arches due to weak arch muscles, and yet i try to do yoga, work out pretty often yet dont anymore cuz theres so many small exercises i have to do for parts of my body that unless i had half a day to work out like some rock star its hard to find the time. my Dr said its just the way i am but there must be some answer or deficiency to my body?help

For the past 2 weeks I started getting throbbing pain in my left leg with exposure to cold weather. At my home I'm mostly okay, but when I start walking outside, I feel like limping because of the pain. When my leg warms up with the heater or a blanket when I get home, it feels better and I can jump around. There isn't a physical pain in the leg, but seems like my nerves act up and it throbs. Any suggestions? Going to see the doctor soon for a second time, hoping for a referral to a specialist.

I have just gotten out of my 3rd treatment facility and did 5months in a halfway house. I need to find some sites that offer support and maybe even some doctors who can help with severe heroin and morphine addiction. I am having a lot of trouble with this I have been clean off and on for a month here and there, but if I cannot get off of this **** it is going to kill me. any suggestions would be appriciated.

One of my really good friends has a problem with his knees. Every time someone kicks him in the knees he just drops on the floor in pain. He says it will eventually go away over time. He also says that he cant get taller, only when the disease starts fading. Im sure the disease will go away in a couple of years. Can someone please tell me what this disease is called?

This is supposed to be excruciatingly painful surgery/recovery and I know that they won't give him enough morphine or whatever pain killers after the first few days. People who have had this surgery say the horrible pain lasts for weeks.

What are some methods or natural things that will really help with the severe pain he is going to have? Thanks in advance.

I think I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago,I was working out and my ankle twisted inward and I heard a popping noise and ive done this before also. And normally its went away by now but after 2 weeks my ankle still has some swelling, very little right in front of my ankle and slightly on my leg.My ankle is real sensitive to the touch and hurts real bad justto touch it.
I have tried to do my workout twice since I hurt my ankle thinking it was better,But both times It began to hurt so bad at the bottom of my foot I had to stop, yesterday I ran with no shoes cause it felt better with no shoes for some reason?? Also it after walking a good distance it feels like my foot is splitting into on the bottom in the middle of my foot,
I dont get it,and am now getting worried,it seems like its better but then when i try to workout it hurts so bad.
Does this sound like a sprain? should the symptoms last longer than 2 weeks?I am thinking about going to get x-rays but dont want to if its a just a sprain

the pain is not of the skin but rather of something close to the bone that when pressed in a particular way I feel a short pang of pain - sometimes its sends pain down my finger to my hand. other than these moments of pain my hand is absolutely fine!? If anyone has clue as to what this could be I would be very grateful for you to let me know. Many thanks

And if you have tried it, have you had any side effects?
Me, I had pain in my ankles, my body was feeling achy and very sleepy. I thought that this pill was suppose to relieve the pain. Not make you feel worse. Also, I was not concentrating very well on things. I had to stop taking it before I got worse. Now I have to wait for something else. I was hoping that this pill would of relieve the pain. Thankyou very much for your answers. May God bless all of you and Happy Holidays.

I'm having an upper endoscopic surgery done on Dec 21st.
I work in retail and have to talk alot. I hear that my throat and stomach will be really sore for awhile.

How long does it usually take to recover (to the point where I can talk for 8 hours without hurting)?
How long should I wait to go back to work??

I go to bed around 9:30pm. I want to be able to get up around 5am or 530am. Right now my alarm goes off at 630am and I am lucky to get out of bed by 715am! Then I am rushing and rushing my 5 year old. I set my alarm for earlier and tell myself to get up but by the time the alarm goes off my bed just feels to darn good and warm. How can I get up earlier and get some things done around the house before I go to work and get too tired to do a lot at 5pm when work is done?!

Also, it is winter and COLD here! So that is why it is so hard to get outta bed, but I NEED to become a morning person and have more energy during the day. Plz help!!

He blames it on his 3 adult children who also live there, but on inspection, its clear that the build up of grease, detritus, grime and ground in dirt is from years and years of not cleaning. He has been a single parent so the chores are all his responsibility. He rarely lets me in the house, basically because I do nag about the condition of the home, I admit, however, my concern is that he suffers from asthma very badly and has diabetes and eczema. He does not accept that the condition of the home, with hair, dust, cobwebs, mould, grease and germs, will inevitably contribute to his health. I am concerned because diabetics can have a lowered immunity and I am worried that at some point he will become ill.
How do I get him to take this seriously?

Look I live with a chronic bad back and while I try to do without medicine sometimes the pain is so blinding it feels like I'm a puppet with its strings cut...Still the doctors only answer is to load me up on powerful "dont care about anything narcotics"...Of which I rarely take...

I feel some pain is useful it tells me I have to be careful and not over do...but when I'm on the doctor pills I forget I cant do somethings any more and sure enough I'll do something foolish then spend weeks wishing I had taken the pills...

So what do you all think? should we really be trying to knock out all pain or is a little reminder helpful?

Been struggling with tennis elbow for 7 weeks. I haven't touched a racquet in 6 weeks and stopped lifting weights 4 weeks ago. Started taking aleve twice a day 5 days ago and plan to continue that for total of 14 days then see MD if no better. I was icing it 1-2 times a day for about 2 weeks but stopped after no improvement felt. Any thoughts?

I've tried everything. Massages from friends, rolling on a ball to try and work it out. When those didn't work for me a heating pad has always worked in the past, but not this time. I woke up in pain today, and it'll just randomly start aching during the day. Is there anything else I can do or should I go see my chiropractor?

(in the sacroiliac area) for five years. She went to her GP and was eventually referred for physiotherapy, which didn't help. She also had private acupuncture, which again did little to help. She's ok when moving around, but the sitting position is very painful. Things were starting to improve, when she stepped heavily and awkwardly off a kerb a couple of weeks ago when crossing the road - jarring her back very painfully once again. She feels she's now back to square one. If you've used an osteopath, did it help you. My friend is concerned because she has osteoporosis. G.Ps seem to know very little about back pain, and usually just prescribe anti-inflammatory tablets.
