Been struggling with tennis elbow for 7 weeks. I haven't touched a racquet in 6 weeks and stopped lifting weights 4 weeks ago. Started taking aleve twice a day 5 days ago and plan to continue that for total of 14 days then see MD if no better. I was icing it 1-2 times a day for about 2 weeks but stopped after no improvement felt. Any thoughts?

I can only tell you my husband's experience with cortisone shots.
He has a lot of pain in his shoulders from years of his line of work.
He has had a number of cortisone shots and they provided a little relief but not much.
Cortisone shots does not help with the healing just reduce any swelling.

He has since stopped taking the shot because they just don't work very well for his pain.

I had a BAD experience with a cortisone shot last month. It was the first one I ever had in my life. Turns out I am allergic to steroids, not only did it NOT help with my pain one bit, I had horrible side effects.

Good luck, I hope your arm starts feeling better soon!!

I had a cortisone shot 5 weeks ago, my elbow felt fine for 3 weeks but then my elbow pain came roaring back worse than before the injection. I have been using this tennis elbow secrets program now for 5 days and my elbow feels much better. I can really feel my arm getting stronger as each day passes.

cortisone will reduce inflammation, but it does little to effect healing.
