when i'm sitting down and look upward, i get a sharp pain ALMOST to the middle of my back but up a lil' bit. i can't lift my head up towards the sky - i have to keep it level looking straight ahead. what is this?? it only happens sometimes not all day...thanks.

I went to the doctor y-day(around noon) because I was having chest pains. They started Wednesday evening around 7pm. The doctor did an Ekg and it was abnormal. She sent me to ER. ER did an Ekg and that was abnormal. since I was short of breath they gave me oxygen and pain meds and sent me home. They did a test for blood clots and that came back normal. But, I'm still having chest pains and it hurts to breath.

i have had a bad upper resp infection. then it went away, really rapidly like in the next two days, then my throat started killin me. well i put up with it for a day just because I thought it was a normal old sore throat. i was looking down my throat in a mirror and saw all these infected white looking spots, so i went back to my doctor and he was just like long time no see, in a very smartassy way, well he hardly looked at me, and just said did you fill the perscriptions i gave you? ( amoxicillion and proproxy-npap) and said well come back if its not gone by sunday, well, I have not eaten since like tuesday morning. i cant eat, my throat is sore and swollen. it feels like cutting in my throat when i even take a large drink of water. lol this is super long, anyways sorry. what can i do to make the pain go away, i have done salt and viniger water gargling, cough drops and mouthwash, chloreseptic doesnt last and i cant figure out what to do? i just want to be able to eat. thanks.

I hurt my back last week after a particularly intense work out. I left the gym feeling fine, but felt a horrible pain a few hours later while reaching for the coffee pot! (wish I could say I did it lifting a car off an injured motorist, but of course thats not what happened) It still hurts 6 days later - dull pain in my lower back and butt area. Are there any exercises I can do to loosen it up? How long after the pain stops should I wait to go back to the gym? I am going crazy not exercising!Thanks for any advice - I thought I would be better by now!

I have called my dr. and waiting for him to call back. Can't sleep at night from the terrible pain and diarreha. I had stent put in right artery one month ago, thus the mega 80mgs of lipitor. Taking Plavix also. Would Nexium taken right now help the damage that the lipitor caused? What else can I do right now to stop the pain and the diarreha? Have never had this kind of pain before and it scares me. Would appreciate any help from you. I have posted before and have gotten good advice. thank you.

One of my gums, on the bottom of my bottom row of teeth is brown and a little puffy. I noticed that whole end of gum lining hurts when I brush it in the morning. Is it because I was too coarse with my toothbrush and irritated that area?

It's not cancerous is it?

When I run my tongue on that piece of gum (don't mean to be semi-graphic), it is puffed up and in the mirror it is now brownish.

Can I treat this myself?

well yesterday i was wearing converse and they we're super tight. and it was puting a lot of presure on to both of my small toes and i checked and i had 2 painful blisters!!! so i popped them last night and in the morning my left small toe still had a blister but i wore flats but i was sort of limping and i popped it when i got home and it came back like in a hour!!! so i think i popped it 4x today but it wont go away!! and both of my toes are swollen.

so can you tell me some easy ways to get them gone as soon as possible?! i cant handle the pain anymore and tomorrow i have PE for 1st period!!

or at least tell me some tips to make the pain go away for a bit!!

From 3 years i was making a school show and my role was carrying a 140 kg boy on my back..... (i was 80 by that time but I was packed up)
So in the middle of it i accidently lost balance and fell, while falling, the whole weight of the other boy felt on the middle part of my back and I heard a squack sound...
I felt pain v much, I didnt go to the doctor, it took me 2 month pain, i couldnt even bend my back because of the huge pain.
After the 2 months i became better but till now (3 years later), i feel a small pain in that part of my back when i rotate my body or bent back,
What could have happened, what could be the solution of the doctor and could i get rid of this pain?

I have deep pain on the left side of my chest and shoulder when I breathe, Burp or yawn...also, the left underside of my jaw is inexplicably sore. Any suggestions.

If you're going to say "Go to a doctor" -- I agree with you, I have an appt. for Next Monday....what I'm looking for until then are educated opinions on what it might be, from people who have experience with these symptoms...thanks!

For the past three weeks my left eyelid had been pulsating.
I thought that it was unnoticable but i looked in the mirror and i can see it moving up and down.

I get this pain on the upper left side of my chest, right around my breast. It's pressure-like, congestion, squeezeness, tightness.
I notice that when I burp, the pain seems to go away, but a sec. later I'll continue to burp and I can go on burping all day to rid excess gas. I do believe it is GERD, an inflammation to my esophagus, being too narrow, etc.

I can breathe fine, no dizzyness, and i can stretch and bend over. When I touch the area sometimes as I am having the pain, my heart begins to beat faster, but that's prob. because I think I may be having a heart attack and I panic.

Sometimes I must even snap my arm to alleviate the pressure which radiates to my arm and shoulder. Anyone out there with similar pain? Knowledge? References?

I'd really appreaciate it.
Doctors have done the heart scan, EKG, and they say it's normal.

I do eat very fast and I am getting better at it.
I do eat greasy foods.
I do skip meals.

I have a 1Mhz ultrasound massager, sometimes I use it for pain and it seems that the place (like back and forearm) where I used it starts to hurt more than before, even if I only use it for some minutes, not in the strong mode. Sometimes I use it thinking of preventing pain, when I don't feel any pain, and I start to feel some pain afterwards, even after only 1 or 2 minutes using the ultrasound massager. Should I use it for more time then? Or not at all? I thought it was supposed to heal instead of making me hurt more... am I wrong? What's good about it then, when should I use it?
I'd also like to know if I can use it on my face and neck, for beauty purposes. If I can't, do you know the reason why?
