Yes they do, but only for a limited time. The relief from constant back pain though is tremendous.

Again as has already been said, it depends on the spinal issue to be treated. For some conditions which are primarily inflammatry, such as chemical radiculitis from a disc leaking fluid on the spinal nerves, the amount of relief is usually very good. The results of the treatment can give relief of months to years or may only help a few days. It is worth a try, but the number of injections which can be given is limited, and should be used by the pain management physician with care.

They do help stop the pain. Unfortunately you cannot take these injections indefinitely, doctors have a limit on how many injections you can receive. also after a while they will not be as effective. It's still best to do physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, or acupuncture To try to resolve the back pain.

I find they work well for about 4-5 months. I can walk reasonably well during this time and it is pure joy for me.
People react differently, some say they don't work. I think that's because people expect to be completely "pain free".
That ain't gonna happen; but , in my experience, the pain is less and the movement is easier. Of course you have to take it easy. I will never go jogging again!
It is just wonderful to be able to walk without sharp pain "catching" me.
So yes, they work for a while. Bliss!!!

Yes they work. Be careful...your back will feel so good that it is possible to injure it worse. Cortisone masks the problem. Use it for pain management. Don't think your issue is resolved.

it depends what the backpain is caused by
cortisone is a powerful anti inflammatory, so if it is a muscle spasm or swelling from an injury, slipped disc or something they work great, but you have to have a few of them.
they work temporarily for arthritic conditions, but wont remove the cause which is degenerative
