It took 10 weeks for my open would to heal. I had to pack it with gauze everyday and now it just has this ridge of skin on it, almost like a scab. I just wanted to know if this was normal since I've never had surgery or an open wound before. Should I continue to put a damp gauze and cover it? I would appreciate any input from anyone with experience with this. Thanks!

Had the painkillers, but they're not touching it. Is heat or cold applied helpful or would it make it worse.

Okay, not sure if this will help but I'm 13 years old. I've been having a come-and-go pain in my stomach. Last night, it felt like someone stabbed me a million tabs everytime I moved. It took about an hour to an hour and a half for it to calm down. Then, I fell asleep. I woke up at about 6 A.M. and now it just hurts to move. I had a lowgrade fever in the morning and it feels like I stretched a muscle or pulled something in my stomach. It started near my lower chest and gradually moved its way down to... well, erm.... my privates if you know what I mean. I feel achy all over. Please help me. We don't have the money to go to the doctors right now but I wanted a good guess at what might be wrong. I've never felt this way before and I'm very worried. Please help.

I ended up breaking his nose, his jaw, and his eye socket in two places..and everyone thinks im a crazy person now....but atleast no one is goona eff with me anymore...The cops said there is a chance I could go to prison....WTF!!! Was I wrong for what I did? Maybe so.....but i feel so good that, that f*ck is messed up.. what are your thoughts.. was I wrong?

they can be really painful at times and most days im nearly doubled over in pain with it so i need something strong! but something that also wont mess with the mini pill if you have any ideas.

thanks in advance!

foe the past 2 days i have been feeling horrible! yesterday i had 3 back to back classes and thought that they were causing a headache, then later i had another class and even though i took some Excedrin for migranes the headache turned worse. it went from headached to migrane.then next thing i know i am having chills, crying,in pain-migrane-, and feelings as though i would just pass out. called one of my girlfeiends up and she tells me that i am burning the candle at both ends and it is not even the 1st month of school yet.i calmed down and stopped having chills..still had the migrane which was becoming worse yet i ignore it and took some Excedrin. today when i woke up at my bf's place my throar is sore, the migrane is unbearable and i feel like crying from all the pounding noise, light, anything at all.now i still feel that i need to go to sleep and not wake up until tomorrow because i am so out of it.told my bf i would be out of his place-not to be rude-soon yet i can't:i am not well

My boyfriend slipped and fell off the bath tub and hurt his ribs, and found out that there's hairline crack on his rib cage. So is there a way that can help him heal faster? Can restrain from movement help? By taking in more calcium? thank you for your answers

Could it be because:
1. I get between 6/7hours sleep and have to get up at 6am (all summer I slept in to about 11!)
2. I don't have a good diet but I eat breakfast every morning no matter what the stomach forecast is
3. I get nervous easily.. I don't see many people here in the country and then when I get to school.. BOOM!

I get a really sick feeling in my stomach every morning.. it lasts all day.. with a few headaches included.. I drink 2 painkillers.. doesn't do anything.

I can't enjoy making new friends and stuff with this bokey feeling... really sux.

Do anymore students have this? why is it?

Question Details: In the past, I took a lot of Tylenol for my extreme migraines and menstrual cramps. I recently learned that Tylenol (or any acetaminophen) can really damage your liver. I want to know if I can reverse the damage that might occur, or prevent it from occurring. Also, are there any natural alternatives to ease migraine/cramp pain? I know some OTC painkillers are plant based, but I don't know if acetaminophen is. Please help.

Its Thursday, I started to feel under the weather on Sunday.

I worked Fri-Sun 12-13 hour shifts (I am a dance teacher and cherographer). I was off Monday (Labor Day) and Tuesday and was in bed both days because I wasn't feeling well. I didn't keep myself well hydrated over the weekend and I was thinking I was exausted from working so much/so hard.

I returned to work Wednesday and started to get flu like body aches. My throat hurts and I need to take 1000mg of tylenol every 4 hours because I have a pounding sinus headache. I am off work today, which is Thursday, and I am considering going to the Walk In Clinic where I don't need an appointment. Its $70 a visit and money is tight. I need to feel better I have to work again all weekend, same amount of shifts.

Should I go to the doctor? Does it sound like I am getting the flu? I just feel sick. What do you think they will say or prescribe for me? Is there anything I should ask for? I am allergic to penicillin.

Thank you so much for your help :)
Blessed Be ...

I have recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. The doctor started me on antidepressants, but I don't want to take such strong drugs. Do you know if there is anything else I can do to ease the pain?

I have learned some things about the best exercise for people with my condition, but I would like to know more. I have started Tai-Chi and I've heard adult tricycles are great(I'm planning on getting one), but I would like some more options. I would especially like answers from other fibro patients, or other people with conditions that limit them to low-impact exercise.
What do you do? What feels best for you?

I have heard this "cold turkey" wen I was looking for ideas on how to quit smoking.
What is cold turkey? And any suggestions for me to quit smoking please? I prefer suggestions that do not involve nicotine gums or patches or any such tertiary stuff.

I have been smoking for 8yrs now. I smoke 8-10 cigarettes a day. It used to be 10-15 wen I worked night shifts.

I even tried to quit totally once and I went into depression. But then, I had no job either and that was nagging me. But now I have a good job and still can not quit smoking. Everytime I try to reduce, I miraculously meet smoker frnz and start smoking.

But 1 thing is for sure-

I WANT TO QUIT SMOKING.

HELP!!
