i've only had heartburn once, and i don't eat spicy food, i drank a mountain dew yesterday, that was deff it. but thanksss.

If you have chronic heartburn, you need to see a doctor. The acid erodes the esophagus. You body tries to grow it back. But cells can only divide so much as dividing causes them to age. It may take 20 years, but this process may eventually cause you to get cancer.
...and kid...lay off the hot sauce from now on, ok?

Nope it won't, and it actually can make it worse. So can ibuprofen or aspirin. Try Tums, Zantac, Pepcid, Prilosec, or if you just have the household essentials around, mix baking soda with water (1 TBSP to 4 oz water) and drink.

No it's a pain reliever. Try Zantac 75 or 150. It really works!
