The book answer for normal blood pressure is 120/80. They used to say 140/90 was to high but now that nuber is being seriously rethought. Blood pressure below 120/80 mmHg may well be normal for many people. People with strong cardiovascular systems when relaxing can have pressures that would seem unhealthy but actually is a sign of good conditioning. The important thing about pressures below the normal is whether or not the patient has symptoms of hypotension (low blood pressure), the major noted symptoms are lightheadedness, dizzness or fainting especially when changing positions (sitting to standing for example).
My BP yesterday was running 96 over 56, but I was relaxed and had no symptoms and my blood pressure did not vary significantly when I stood. This would mean that I have a lower risk of stroke and my heart does not have to produce high pressures to move the blood normally through my system.
If his pressure is too low and he is symptomatic, he should see his GP and have his health evaluated, it could be the side effect of a medication or other issue, or it may be normal for him.

Although 120/80 is regarded as normal a lower figure down to 90/60 is much better.
If your blood pressure is lower than 90/60 then you may be suffering from low blood pressure.

the normal blood pressure is 120/80 mmHg . If your father blood pressure is very low well first thing he should do is to consult the doctor so he will be given the necessary medicines, vitamins and be given health teachings that can help him become better.

They say a 'perfect' BP is 120/80 but within 10-15 of this is within normal range. However, it does depend on the individual - some people are prediposed to be a little different. Presumably as your dad knows his BP he's under some medical care so I'm sure they will be figuring out if there's a cause that needs further investigation.

Normal BP is 120/80, however depending on the reason why dad'd BP is low, low BP can be almost extra healthy. For example a person whose BP, not on medication, for no pathological reason, is 110/70, has a lower than average stroke risk.

120 OVER 80 IS THE NORMAL.
THE TOP NUMBER WHEN UP MEANS THAT A PERSON CAN BE AT RISK FOR HEART ATTACK.
THE BOTTOM NUMBER WHEN UP MEANS A PERSON CAN BE AT RISK FOR A STROKE.
TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW EITHER CAN BE RISK FACTORS- DEPENDING ON HOW HIGH OR HOW LOW. YOU DID NOT SPECIFY WHAT HIS BLOOD PRESSURE USUALLY RUNS???
