Ok, i have this ''friend'' and ( ok, hes a d!ck head ) he always does extremely weak punches to my stomach, and they absolutely hurt like hell, and hes told me its the diaphram or somewhere inside the ribs.

So, this is basically 2 questions:

1. Is there any other extremely weak points ( except dwn below ) that a small tap could make hurt, and NOT a pressure point, somewhere that involves tapping/punching them

2. How can i stop it hurting when he hits me?

ANY advice will help.
Thanks

I've been having sharp pains in my knees and ankles when I walk since the beginning of January. I really haven't been to a doctor for it or anything. My parents suggested that maybe its stress but I don't think so. It's really hard to walk and do PE. What do you think it is, and how can it be fixed? Im 13, so I don't think it's because of old age or anything...

I thought i sprained my ankle litteraly 2 week and 2 days ago, it instantly swelled, turned blue and purple and I couldn't walk on it for about a week. Then the bruising healed, I could begin to walk perfectally normal, but it's STILL just as swollen. I wake in the morning and my foot looks like it's normal size, but as soon as I leave work, my foot is huge again. There isn't any discomfort or pain, it's just swollen, maybe a little tight feeling. Does anyone have any quick assumptions to this? I do not have help insurance, hence I am asking for advice on here, if i MUST go to the doctor, than obviously I will. But if there is a diagnosis someone can help me with, that would be great!

PS Yes i have elevated it and put ice on it for the entire 2 weeks.

I recently pulled a muscle, lower part of my left trapezius/about where it connects to the lat and muscles of the lower back. I tore it 8 years ago, has bothered me for years since, but for last 7 months of working out have been ultra cautious with it - and pulled it jumping rope last week.

For the first couple days I iced it, now I warm up and stretch it everyday, do a couple hot compresses a day, and wall pushes once or twice. Its been exactly 1 week - still not fully healed, but with my care it's healing very rapidly.

For the couple months leading up to when I pulled it, I would jump rope every morning, then after work go to martial arts classes for an hour 4-5 times a week, then do pushups and abs immediately afterwards - all with warm-up and stretching beforehand. When I resume physical activity I won't do all these things at once so suddenly - but my questions are:

I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is, i've already been to docs and he is not sure. I get really painful legs at night time and they swell and look puffy. They are extremely painful down the backs of my legs (it's not sciatica), and they feel numb and heavy, massage relieves them slightly. Has anyone else had this and do you know what it is?

This morning i started to notice an odd pain in my nose, specifically on the wall seperating my nostrils. It hurts much like a toothache, relatively dull, but increasing in intensity when i inhale, especially cold air, through my nose. What is more irritating/concerning is the effect it has had on my sense of smell. More aggressive odors (especially cigarette smoke) have actually become painful to experience. A whiff of cigarette smoke is what alerted me to this. Usually the scent does not bother me in the least, but now, it strikes me incredibly hard, smelling uncharacteristically tinny and metallic, as well as painful.

Basically, this is strange and somewhat irritating and i was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or might know what could be at fault.

I have been diagnosed with a dislocated coccyx (tailbone) and I have seen a physiatrist which is a type of sports medicine doctor and he says there is nothing to do. I mean honestly I can barely drive and he says there is nothing to do about it? He says this may have been caused by my daughter while I was pregnant from her laying on it and just dislocated the coccyx.

I have a bad back, I currently have been taking 750mg of vicodin. But have been thinking abouting switching to another Med, like 200mg Celecoxib, or 50mg of Tramadol HCI (That's all the on-line store stocks) . What one would be better? And is the strenth the same as the Vic 750mg?
The other Meds would be less expensive than what I'm paying now.

I have had a headache for a few days now and I don't know why. It started friday night while i was at my gf house. I had to drive there and it is a long drive and highbeams were glaring in my eyes for a few hours. As for the pain, majority of it is right above my right eye; when i rest my head my headache has this "idle" feeling like I its beginning to subsude. If i think about near anything the pain begins to slowly increase and I cant stop it. When i try sleeping I wake up dozed and my "idle" feeling comes back. Is this headache from highbeams? or is it from something else? I'venever had a headache this bad in my life before.

A friend of mine says her dentist will not allow her to go back to the dental examining room with her kids. They "make" her stay in the waiting room. The kids are back there for way longer than needs be. She's wondering about the laws involving children under 18. (They are only 10 and 12)

Also, what are the laws about dr appts. and going in with your child? Thanks!

I'm the kind of person who needs 10 hours of sleep at night - unfortunately, I get closer to 5 or 6 because my boyfriend and I work different schedules. Usually, I just sleep a good 12 hours each night over the weekend & I'm fine during the week. This isn't the case this week though. Even on the weekend I felt the need to take a nap - it wasn't just that I felt sleepy, but that I couldn't keep my eyes open for anything. Yesterday i refused to take a nap, knowing I'd have to come to work today and wanted to get good rest at night. That didn't happen. As soon as I went to bed, I coudln't sleep. Mind wasn't racing or anything like that, I just couldn't get to sleep - then when I did, I couldn't stay asleep.
Now I'm starting to feel drowsy again. What can I do to stop this cycle & make it through the day?

No medicine helps. Not IBProfin, not aspirin, not Tylenol. I've tried drinking lots of water. I did have a bad cold for 2 weeks and I took sinus medicine last night which did not help at all.

This is driving me nuts. Are there any secrets or tricks to getting rid of a headache?

I was just getting done brushing my teeth, and I had been standing in the bathroom for awhile... all of a sudden, I felt really light-headed. Next thing I know, I'm picking myself up from the floor. I felt better after sitting down for a few minutes. When I went back into the bathroom later, I noticed that I had knocked off pretty much everything on the counter. My face hurt (I think my straightening iron fell on it) and the back of my head had hit what I believe was the door frame. I have scratches on my arm from hitting the stuff on the counter.

I see no reason for me to have been lightheaded... I had eaten 2 hours prior, and a few hours prior, I had been working out and had lots of water to drink... I'm athletic and healthy, and I'm on no new medications or anything. I'm pretty sure I only blacked out for a couple of seconds. Any advice??? Should I be extremely worried about this???
