I work an hour away from home and use a computer all day. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for prescription. I've taken Excedrin Migraine, but it hasn't helped. (Neither is this computer at the moment). Yesterday, I was off so I could sleep all day which seems to be the only thing that makes the pain bearable. Please help!

It's certainly not anything life or death, as its only a discomfort. I'm thinking it could be just a shorted nerve, or possibly a small muscle pull.

SI joint? Sacroilic joint, pelvic joint? the idiot company dr told me that was my problem. The reason I say he's an idiot is because he did nothing to try to help me . im still fighting this and i have pain every day and night. i take meds to keep my legs from throbbing. cant bend over and touch my toes. occasionally have weakness in my legs, they go out from under me. Can anyone help me on this??

Last night around 11:00pm, My arm started to get this weird feeling in like it was numb and tingley. I kinda felt like i was getting my blood pressure taken and all the blood was rushing to my arm and hand. I put the heating pad on it and it was okay for awhile but now that feeling has come back. I told my mom and she said I probaly strained it from the heavy lifting I did for her yesterday.
But I don't know can anyone help me, Im not sure that its strained but could anyone tell me some other problems could be?

My 67 year old mum felt/heard a crack in her right thigh yesterday and fell to the ground. She was taken to A&E, and a fractured thigh bone was confirmed. Yesterday evening, she was put in traction and they are hoping to perform surgery today.

My questions are these.

1. Although I appreciate her age and the likelihood of osteoporosis, is it normal for such a large bone to literally snap without any prior trauma?

2. What is the recovery prognosis for such a condition? She is already arthritic in her knees, spine, hips etc, and following an illness earlier this year, currently weighs about 15 stone.

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - A South African man shot three weeks ago was told to "walk the pain off" and is still trying to persuade hospitals to remove the bullet lodged in his side, a newspaper said Thursday.

Three Johannesburg hospitals refused to remove the bullet for security guard Phillip Mashiane, 38, who was shot during a burglary at the property of South Africa's ambassador to the United Nations, the Star newspaper said.

The bullet passed through his elbow and entered his body just above the hip, missed his vital organs and stopped beneath the skin on the opposite side of his body, the Star said.

Mashiane told the paper he was turned away by one private hospital because he could not afford the bills while a public hospital took X-rays and kept him in for observation before patching him up and sending him home with painkillers.
When he returned a doctor told him to "walk the pain off."

Doctors at a third hospital said it could not remove the bullet because Mashiane had started treatment elsewhere.

"I want my life back. I need to work and all I ask is for them to help me," Mashiane told The Star.

South Africa is battling some of the highest rates of violent crime in the world, and its underfunded public hospitals struggle to treat all those who need healthcare.

I have been having a tremendous pain in my groin / testicle area. My testicles themselves do not hurt but underneath it.. it started last week after I helped my wife carry the luggage up2 flights of stairs.. it settled down throughout the week and then again after I worked out at teh gym and did some deadlifts it have started this time a lot more painful than last time.

I do not believe it is a hernia because I do not have any lumps..

I have felt around and around and the only thing I can think of that it may be a groin pull. I wanted to go to the doctor but am having difficulty getting the okay from my boss...

should I go to the emergency room ronight after work?

Has anyone experienced this before? What is wrong with me?

I am trying to get off prescribed Morphine and struggling to do it on my own. My GP's answer to this particularly problem is to suggest referring me to Drug Services for Methadone, which I have categorically refused. Surely there must be some sort of rehab facility that I can go into in order to get off this evil medication?

Hello. I hope someone can help me out with this.
Well, I have a sore throat, but the pain is on the left side of my throat ONLY. And through the days it just kinda gets worse. Through the day, I would be hurting in the morning/afternoon, then I would feel better (at night). And the next day, I would be in as much pain as I was the day before. It started on Monday, and here it is, on Thursday.
I have no other symptoms of some sort, except it hurts pretty bad when I swallow, and sometimes I feel my ear kind of aching (me + ear aches = NOT a good mixture).
No headaches, no fever. That's pretty much it.
Someone. I can't stand this pain much longer. Can someone help?
I've tried warm salt water gargles, cough-drops... & it doesn't help.
Could it be my tonsils?

So yeah, I had tennis elbow (never played tennis in my life, funnily enough) it was from hyper extending + carrying extremely heavy objects in an extremely stupid way...

Anyway I pretty much ignored it, got on with life...Now (a week later) my forearm is extremely HOTand SWOLLEN (mainly the large muscle between elbow & wrist) and keeps going 'dead' (wrist too) and looks a little bruised (not external bruising from any kind of trauma) on inside forearm....

Not going back to physio! (just recovered from knee surgery) so looking for some advice or just hearing from anyone who has had anything similar. Thanks

because they filed a claim and/ or mentioned exposure to depleted uranium? I want to know if anyone else has reason to believe, as I do, that they were treated poorly, rudely or made to feel that they are not injured, forced to believe that pain issues and health issues were not the fault of military service? Are there really that many soldiers out there that feel they were singled out and got angry care, and even laughed at when they found that later down the line they could no longer work and when they went to ask the VA and VA hospital for help they got substandard care for mentioning depleted uranium or having applied for disability? Feel there are "Headhunters" cutting the roles? I'm in the north east US and trying to see how many people actually think there is an issue of unfairness.

every one gets them somes times....but i had mine last night went to bed woke up and its still twitching on my right side just under the eye its bloody annoying! feels like it i yalk to some one im a mad case lol i wanted to no what causes it to happen n how to stop it?? ive heard numerous things.. such as protein deficiency, lack of sleep , traped nerve, stress, etc.... i had been getting anxiaty.. but i have been doing really well im on anti depressants and i feel myself and happy again.. i get the recomended amount of sleep.. i dont eat overly heathy or to mush fatty just normal balanced diet i take care of myself so y is it doing it ??
