I have been having a tremendous pain in my groin / testicle area. My testicles themselves do not hurt but underneath it.. it started last week after I helped my wife carry the luggage up2 flights of stairs.. it settled down throughout the week and then again after I worked out at teh gym and did some deadlifts it have started this time a lot more painful than last time.

I do not believe it is a hernia because I do not have any lumps..

I have felt around and around and the only thing I can think of that it may be a groin pull. I wanted to go to the doctor but am having difficulty getting the okay from my boss...

should I go to the emergency room ronight after work?

Has anyone experienced this before? What is wrong with me?

Yep, I experienced the same problem. It feels like your balls are hanging down to your knees.

Try using a Jock Strap. This will help give support and help relieve some of the pain.

There really is no need to go to the emergency room but you should make an appt to see your doctor.

Try checking out this web site: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/sciatica.html

Check out the main page along with all the referring pages.

It's possible that you only have a strained muscle but my doctor, the specialist that did my surgery said that you can get a herniated disk by no more than sneezing.

Given a chance to work - at least 1-2 weeks, and if pain relief medicines and muscle relaxers don't work, its time to get a CatScan/MRI Scan to confirm if you do indeed have a slipped disk.

Your doctor will be able to fill you in completely on what additional methods (including exercise) to help releave the pain prior to giving you a steroid injection or even having surgery (which is the last option you want).

You may have a groin strain, but it is difficult for a person to feel their own hernia, its a matter of the angle and pressure.

You need an exam.

Then all being well rest, warm soaks and possibly some analgesic medication.

But find out why you are having pain before you take drugs for the pain.

this does sound like you have pulled a groin muscle. Ugh, I can only imagine the pain. You definitely are going to need medical attention. If you cannot get off of work you will have to go to the emergency room after work. It's not a good idea to let this be left untreated.

Sounds like you have a hernia. Go see your doctor immediately. I know you don't feel any lumps, but that is irrelevant.
