I suffer from muscle cramps frequently. I had been given Quionine which worked GREAT! however, the FDA took it off the market.

there is bottled water with quionine on the market. Find that and drink it. That is what my doctor told me to take.
I get the cramps when I take a water pill, so it could be related to flushing too much water. Increase your water intake, eat bananas and watch your magnesium and potassium levels too.

Hydrate yourself ahead of time before practice. Drink plenty of water, and gatoraid throughout practice. Your body needs the water of course, but the gatoraid will replinish the body with the needed electrolites that are used up. Also eat a banana or two to add some potassium to your body which will also help with the cramps. Remember, feeling thirsty is an early sign of dehydration. This is not to say you won't feel thirsty while working out, but keep that in mind. Good luck.

Tough to get a quick fix on that. Bananna's would probably help. Drink as much water as you can without causing yourself trouble moving around... ;-)

Make sure you're not over-doing it with too much practice. Don't skimp on the stretching and warming up.

Gatorade is likely to help if you're getting the cramps due to electrolyte depletion.

It may be as simple as the heat. If it's a little too hot - just give it a rest.

Stay hydrated and eat at least one banana a day. My boy has the same problem after football practice. And stretch!!!!

Oh dear.

Try eating bananas, or taking a potassium supplement. And drink lots of water and Gatorade.

Good luck!

I'd massage them and stretch a lot to get them loosened up.
