I jumped off a trampoline and i guess I landed wrong. It hurts even when I don't walk on it. It happened a week ago. I don't know how long a sprain takes to heal, so is it broken.

My doctor is keen for me to have cortisone injections into my shoulders and wrists, but I have a problem with this in case they hit a nerve. I have on occassion it a nerve myself (insulin) with a thin needle, but though thought of a thicker one is making me feel quite unneccessary.

I am wondering how much they hurt, what damage can be done, and why I could not have them done while under ga for another operation due in the next few months!

me and jack have been thinking that which is the least important part of the body and he says its the toes but i say its the fingers but you need toes to balance and you only need fingers for maners and thats not life saving is it but toes are because if you were on the top of the cliff you would fall with no toes to keep you in balance

For the past week, I have had such a problem falling asleep. It's still summer break for me and I'm 16 years old. Normally in the summer I stay up until 2:30 - 3:30 AM chatting with my friends, texting, IMing, watching TV, listening to music.

For the past week as soon as I get into bed, I have such a problem falling asleep. If either sleep on my stomach or on my back.

I normally sleep easily, and I sleep like a baby. I don't know what it is, but I can't fall asleep. I'm basically under no stress at all, I'm 16. I don't have much to worry about.

I close my eyes & try to clear my mind & focus on falling asleep, or if I see just like black with my eyes closed, I just focus on that. I try to relax myself as well.

I don't like milk so I won't drink hot milk, and I don't want to drink before bed.

Any suggestions for me to fall asleep easier? I just want to fall asleep in like 5-10 minutes, but lately it has been taking me 30 minutes at least to an hour!

Thanks!

On an off for the past six months, my rt ankle periodically wakes me up in the middle of the night with this hot craping feeling, and the only way I can get the 8 pain on a scale of 1-10 to ease is to dive into a warm bathtub and soak it. Walking on it used to help but it has gotten worse and more frequent. Its not just a leg cramp its worse. Its not from injury that I know of or exercise. I did take a medication six months ago that caused a lactic acid build up so I quit it, (Metformin) for PCOS. Any ideas what this could be?

Every few months this happens and I don't know why. I'll be fine before I go to sleep, I'll sleep for an hour or two, then I will wake myself up scratching, just digging in my skin, I itch all over. Sometines it's just my legs, this time it is my whole body. In the past this has gone on for a week or so then it ends. I sometimes take benadryl, and sometimes it helps. Someone suggested it might be connected with mites but didn't elaborate. I have changed my sheets, I have vacuumed, I have even vacuumed my bed. I haven't used any new detergent or soap. It's not fleas, I don't have flea bites, my cat is indoor only and even so she is on advantage. What could this be?I can't get any sleep! My mom thinks it's just nerves. (Oh yeah, no mosquito bites either.)

I don't remember having these pains the first go around. The Incision is all healed up but my belly is so sore. It's been 4 weeks and I'm still in pain. It's like shooting pains. It reminds me of a series of shocks. Then on the right side i have this pain like it's a severe gas pain but I have no problems in that area. I really hope these pains go away. They get worse the more active I am. Does any one have any clue to what this is and is it going to go away?

Well please don't say go to the emergency room or to the doctor. He has been through all that. Got a shot to relax the muscles, pain medicine, etc etc. I am curious whether there is anything i can do for him at home. He has been struggling with back pain for years!! What would you recommend? Any professional help is strongly appreciated.
Thank you

I'm an amputee and like most amputees experience phantom pain. Usually they are mild and don't really bother, but sometimes I get a very weird feeling of spasm. It's like a hammer beating the nail and it does get really painful. They keep repeating very often (once every minute) .

I used some painkillers, but they do not seem to help :(
Is there something else I can use, at least to get rid of those painful hammering feelings.

Thanks a lot

i've started to run for 30 minutes in the morning, and 30 minutes in the evening, and i've been doing it for 2 days and my legs are sooooooooooooooo sore. it hurts so badly. i can't even walk without almost falling because of the pain. they don't hurt when i run though (weird)

but my question is, what can i do to ease the pain in my legs?
how long will it take for my legs to not be sore from running anymore, if i continue to run?
if i stop running, how long will it take for them to feel better?

thanks lots

I've suspected I have fibromyalgia for several years. I was officially diagnosed yesterday. I do not have health insurance and I have to go to a "reduced-fee clinic" and the doctor I saw didn't go into a lot of detail on how to live with this. He gave me a Rx for Tramadol for the pain. He told me to do stretches, keep my mental health in check, reduce stress, quit smoking, lose weight, and it might help to find a support group. That's about it. I'm having a pretty bad flare up and the Tramadol he gave me isn't doing much. If you have fibromyalgia, how do you deal with the pain? Is there/was there more that my doctor could have done? I'm really interested in hearing what other sufferers do to relieve their pain and tension.
