i've started to run for 30 minutes in the morning, and 30 minutes in the evening, and i've been doing it for 2 days and my legs are sooooooooooooooo sore. it hurts so badly. i can't even walk without almost falling because of the pain. they don't hurt when i run though (weird)

but my question is, what can i do to ease the pain in my legs?
how long will it take for my legs to not be sore from running anymore, if i continue to run?
if i stop running, how long will it take for them to feel better?

thanks lots

You need to take a break for at least three days. When you go back to exercising cut your time in half for the first few days and gradually increase the time. This will help your muscles get use to the exercise without such severe pain.

Take a hot bath with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts. Soak for 30 minutes. The Epsom salts will help eliminate the lactic acid that forms on the muscles from over exertion.

Massage an analgesic cream into the sore muscles.

Dehydration can cause severe pain in the muscles. I recommend you drink purified water mixed with Mineral Water 50/50. This will replace the minerals that are exiting your body continuously. You must drink beyond your thirst to get the benefits of hydration and the real key is the Mineral Water.

I suggest that adults and children drink 40 ounces of water per 100 pounds of body weight every day. Realize that exercise, ambient temperature, and state of health affect the water needs of your body.

500mg of calcium and magnesium, taken twice daily, can help with diminishing the pain.

Advil liqui capsules work very quickly on pain. Take them four times daily.

Where do they hurt?
It sounds like you really need to take a day off. If your shins hurt (shinsplints -caused by small tissue tears), the only way for them to stop hurting is for them to heal. You'll want to ice them for 20 minute intervals and take it easy. Do not run until they stop hurting.
You should always stretch before and after you run, which will help reduce the soreness. Until it gets better, take tylenol or aleve to help with the pain.
Also, try increasing your fluid intake and massaging your legs to flush any toxins out. Potassium after a workout can also help ward off soreness.

it incredibly is rather familiar. once you exercising if your physique can not aquire adequate oxygen needed for the muscle tissues to breathe then lactic acid is produced. In destiny i might advise taking a chilly bathe or tub right now after that workout and this might help with removing this buildup and struggling with that feeling afterwards. once you're exercising the tiny muscle fibres are broken/torn and then reattach extra suitable, that's how muscular tissues improve and strengthen in length and power. this is only the place you have knowledgeable and is rather familiar. only determine you do no longer exercising too complicated, if that feeling hasn't long gone after say 2 days then next time do no longer artwork out extremely as complicated
