I was a breach baby, in fact, I was in the womb sideways. And rather than do a C-section, my FAMILY doctor delivered me naturally. Think he must have just yanked the hell out me because i was born with a compound fracture of the right arm and a black eye. But it gets better. They couldn't get me to breath for six minutes and it screwed up my pituitary gland in my brain. The pituitary gland secretes growth hormone and tells all the other glands what to do. As a result, I am short (5'5"), and I have to take both oral and injected steriods for the rest of my life (plus Thyroid meds). All this could have been prevented by a C-cection.
Didn't they know how to do them in 1953? Or were very few done or what?

A friend had pushed me and I fell straight back and smacked my head on a concrete floor. I blacked out for 4 minutes. When I woke up my friends carried me into the house and I slept for 3 or 4 hours. When I woke up, I had a bump the size of a tennis ball on the back of my head. Is it possible that I had a concussion? I did not seek medical treatment because I had been drinking and was underage at the time. Is it possible that I could have any kind of permanent damage from this?

I realize people have to put some effort into standing upright and tall, but its always been a pain in my case. Also, a few other members of my family including my father, and two aunts (who share the long torso) tend to slouch... our upper backs and sholders are constantly sore. my best guess is that because there is more upper weight for the legs to support, it's harder to stand up straight.

Also back up codeine phosphate 60 mgs. plus benzodiazepam (valium blue 20 mgs-2 tabs twice daily)Prilosec for peptic upcers due to worrying about the severity of my accident results, and the meds caused holes in stomach, just my opinion at least. This is the only way so far that after 17+ years, I am not a "frequent flyer" in my local hospital, as I was each and every two-three (tops) weeks, dehydrated, untolerable pain, vomiting from severe pain. I have a super rare genetic blood disease, of which only 4 people in my country have. (Thus resulting in all those years on mild pain killers, which built up to hard narcotics, such as vicodin, then onto opiates, such as self administered and prescribed Dilaudid, I did IM-which is intra-muscular-now I do not have to stick myself with a jab several times a day. We've tried an implanted Morphine pump, did nil, and electrical device in my back, no good!-seems I can only stay stable on all the meds I said, tolerance is thru the roof.

Around 6 months ago I went on a Caribbean holiday and slapped on lots of tanning lotion, factor 30 to stop myself burning. I put the lotion on all round my face but "avoided the eye area" as suggested on the bottle, and ended up with burnt eyes! At the time it was funny to have to rings round my eyes but now, because the skin is so sensitive, it turns pink and stands out whenever my face gets hot or whenever the blood rushes to my skin, and it looks rank! It doesn't hurt, it just changes colour and feels warm. The sunburn wasn't great but it didn't blister or anything like that.

So my question is- how can I restore this skin to its natural state and get my eyes looking even with my face again? Is there anything medical/herbal that I can do to soothe it back to normal?

To clairfy I don't have fair skin and I don't burn easily or often. Thanks!

what is a good stomach treatment liner, i hate MILK, yuck, although not so bad with a milkshake mixer but is there anything else that makes a good stomach liner - something that you can eat or drink that coats your stomach lining and helps it barrier itself against irritants like alcolhol, curries and painkillers, lol

i have been smoking for now 8 years or so, and also I am still very young (25) I smoke 20 cigarettes a day. Last January, I decided, a many do for new years resolutions, to stop smoking. I took the patch and made my partner do the same. It work!! I stopped smoking for around 4 months, having sometimes the odd ciggie when I was out for a drink. But apart from that, I really did very well, and so did he. Anyway, life changed and we broke up, which made us both start smoking again. I went back on my 20 a day, felt like a walking ashtray and so on. Now, since begining of October, I really decided, to stop again and put my faith into patches, as they worked before. The thing is that this time, they are not as good. Or I am not as good. i live on my own so don't have the "competition" thing anymore, I sometimes smoke out of boredom, and "treat" myself to a cigarette one too often. I am thinking about ZYBAN, but i am quite wary as it acts on the brain. What do you advice?
