i know i have already posted questions but there all more detailed than the last (there was 2 before this) i hurt my hand in my gymnastics lesson, when i was doing a pike stradel over a horse buck my hand slipped and twisted and i landed on it. yesterday it was a pain in my little finger and down the side of my hand. this morning it was a little worse as it was hurting towards the bottom of my hand and now it's spread to nearly half way accross my hand and right the way to my elbow! i've tried ti support my finger with popstickle sticks and my arm with a bandage but it just makes it worse. i was wondering what it could be as it is slowly spreading across my hand and arm. i thought it was a trapped nerve or something but in my last question a couple of hours ago someone said that the nerve for your hand was located in the neck? i don't know about that though?

A friend of mine has recently begun to lose a lot of weight. there is no simple explanation for this, he has not been dieting, taking drugs, or doing anything differently than normal. he has suffered with ulsers in the past....could that have anything to do with it?...please no scary answers.

Pain (not sharp) to Numb sensation to No sensation on hands and feet. It doesn't necessary go in that order, but it is long lasting. Sometimes the pain is in the arms and legs too, but it's generally not numb.

I suddenly had a painfull and inflammed elbow. I had been doing a lot of lifting and carrying, renovating a house, went to boots and showed the pharmasist but had already brought ibuprofen as I know is an antiinflammatory,he suggested the same. Its cleared up now but I understand from reading information on the net it can come back, any suggestions thanks.

I have been having mild to moderate lower back pain since around May. It got better for awhile and then got worse again. It is usually the worst when I am trying to sleep or sitting down for long periods of time.

I went to the doctor a few times but it seems like all they want to do is sell me pain medication and not actually examine my back. Throughout this whole ordeal, no healthcare professional has actually examined my back. I'm not sure if this is common practice or not but it seems rather counter-productive to me.

I'm sure I didn't injure my back and the pain sort of came out of nowhere. It isn't a major strain on my life, but it is still annoying and I feel like it should have gone away by now. I mean I'm only 22 years old.

As sad as it is, I'm pretty confident I cannot trust my doctors because all they want to do is keep me on pain killers for months on end to mask the symptoms and to get me to stop asking them questions they don't have answers to.

What should I do?

Mine. . . . how to detect them reliably, then how to punish severely. . . . force them to lick toilets clean.

It really is such a puny way to be - not respecting other people and instead thinking they themselves are fine and other people should put up with their sweat/slime/whatever else.

Hey. My fiance was in a motorcycle accident last night in NY state. As I live in NC, and am going to school here, I was at a loss as to what to do. I am so worried about him.

He called me when he got home and explained what happened. He has a shattered collarbone, a collapsed lung, bruised ribs, something wrong with his thumb and many cuts and abrasions. He has to go see two different docs on Monday.

I really wanted to go see him but he and my parents both said that I was in no shape to drive home last night or this morning. So I'm going next weekend.

If anyone out there is compassionate enough to do so, would you please be able to keep him in your thoughts and prayers? I know I definitely am..His name is John. Thanks. I'm sure he will appreciate your thoughts when he's healed.

(I'm in the UK)

Last Christmas my brother's car was hit by a woman who pulled out of a slip road onto a main road without looking. She hit him head on and his car was totalled. My mother who was in the passenger seat was taken to hospital by ambulance, and found to have a broken sternum. The woman in the other car admitted responsibility at the scene and police suspected she may have been drinking.

The insurance claim for her personal injury is still going on! My mum has been sent to see two separate doctors to assess her case.

In February, my BF had a smiliar accident - silly bint pulled out etc, but he did not suffer severe injury, just back pain which kept him off work for a few days. Woman did not immediately admit responsiblity and had not been drinking.

He's already been awarded £1,500!

What I don't get is why such a cut and dried case like my mum's is taking so long whilst a case like my BFs (which I thought wouldn't come to anything) has been sorted already
