You most likely gave yourself a second degree burn. Is it really black or is it just darkened skin? Black skin is usually associated with gaingreen or rot. I am sure this isn't the case. The question of whether or not your symptom is normal would depend on how long you had the cigarette on your finger. Did it blister? I would give it a couple days, if it seems to get worse you should seek medical attention. Try putting some burn cream on it and keep it dry and clean. You can put a bandaid on it to protect it, but I would let it air out for a couple hours as you do not want to incourage infection. The bruise is probably your skin reacting to the trauma of the burn. Again if the pain is severe see a doctor.

For a burn to turn black then it is pretty serious. You should either go to the doctor or speak to a pharmacist and see what they recommend. Keep an eye on it and if it looks like it is becoming infected get a doctors apt.
