Ok- heres the list.
-emergency blanket (they fold up to about the size of a credit card- you can get them at a outdoor-sy store)
-bandage scissors
-tweezers
-safety pins
-guaze (various size individually wrapped)
-bandaids (various sizes individually wrapped)
-medical adhesive tape
-hard candy/sugar packet/instant glucose
-table salt (in case you have a leech at the beach)
-instant cold packs
-2 triangular bandages
-non-latex surgical gloves (about 5 pair minimum!)
-pocket mask or CPR barrier device
-flashlight/penlight
-paper and pencil
-first aid textbook/pocket first aid manual (up to date!!!)
You can add Aspirin as well, but make sure that it is ASPIRIN, not tylenol, not ibuprofen, etc. Aspirin can be taken in cases of heart attack, whereas the other meds can't.
Remember though that you should not be using medication on anyone but yourself!
****I also recommend taking an emergency first aid course or a standard first aid/CPR "C" course as well if you haven't already.****
Now, if you meant an emergency survival kit: that's a bit different.
Include a small metal container (with sides- the small rectangular gourmet coffee containers work well), boullion cubes, a whistle, maybe an extra emergency blanket. More gloves, bandaids and guaze. Also add water purification tablets, wood matches (sealed in a watertight container- I suggest triple ziploc-ed!) and some firestarters (you can make your own out of the cups of a cardboard egg carton by adding wax, dryer lint and bits of newspaper!).
Make sure the container you put this in is water tight- as if you are making a survival kit, more than likely it would have to be raining when you use it.
Hope this has helped!

Do a search on the web for first-aid supplies. It will give you a list of items to put in your first-aid kit depending on where you are going to keep it..for instance a back-packing trip will have different items than a home first-aid kit or a kit to carry in your car. Different situations--different first-aid kits..Try your local Red Cross for information. They should be able to give you a general list for your personal first-aid kit.

This web site gives a complete list of items that could be included in a kit plus the PRIORITY notice to make each member of the household aware of where it is kept. Fast access to a first aid kit comes first.

depends on exactly what you need it for..like sporting events? or for a small child? Most of the basics would be:
bandaids
triple antibiotic ointment
benadryl cream (or tablets)
ice pack (chemical type you can break when needed)
bee sting spray or cream
tylenol/motrin
again, it may be modified a bit depending on what situations you are needing it for and possibly the age of those you have around you most who may need it.
