I cut my finger a few days ago and I cleaned it out, but now it is very sore and infected. Does anyone on here have a home remedy that will pull out the infection quickly?? I have been putting over the counter antibiotic ointments on it, but they aren't working that great. I am trying to avoid going to the doctor if at all possible. I would appreciate any ideas you may have. Thanks!!!

Please, help me out with a writing problem. This question is ideal for nurses and doctors who have had ER experience...

I'm writing a scene at the moment where a person has been shot in the abdomen. There is really no medical care available aside from a doctor's first aid kit.

What could be done for a person in these circumnstances?

What treatment would be provided 'in the field'?

What could be expected in the recovery?

Are they any good? Do they dry your eyes out?

I wear two weekly ones, but I have to take them out and clean them every night, I find it annoying.

Last night was my first night, and I could only tolerate it for a couple of hours, (not even in a row, just total). I find it hard to breathe out against the pressure once it ramps up to where I need it. Any comments would be helpful.

I mean they really should just make an appointment with their GP, don't you think. Once they know what it is then they can ask for advice from people who have the same condition but asking what is wrong with me in the 1st place is very foolish I think!
