Are they any good? Do they dry your eyes out?

I wear two weekly ones, but I have to take them out and clean them every night, I find it annoying.

Here's my take as an experienced optician...
Contacts are a grerat place for things to grow. the things that grow in the eye are generally un-wanted. think of a mini green house under you contcts, not to mention ulcers and such) although the eyes are great healers, any after effects of damage generally effect you in either comfort or vision. I have always been amazed at how much the eyes are taken for granted. a slight hearing loss sends people after really expensive partially effective hearing aids, pain drives people nuts and look what happens with us males and our wiener's if the don't work!! Just imagine what happens to someone personally when vision is irreversibly damaged through disease, injury or the groeth of bacteria algea or other nasties from contact lens related issues!!! I say this (very strongly and opinionated-ly)...don't go there it's not worth the risk. If you want something permanent try one of those laser options, but make sure its done by someone who won't make an error. email me if you want more on this :)

I did and not only did they dry my eyes out but they caused me to get a corneal ulcer which was a major headache. I had to put these drops in my eye that burned so bad every hour for 2 weeks (except when I was sleeping), my eye was fire engine red the entire time, and if not aggressively treated on time these ulcers can lead to blindness so it was basically a nightmare - stick with the ones you have to take out and clean whether they're annoying or not because atleast they're safe

The longer a contact lens stays in your eye, the more likely you are to develop some form or eye irritation, possibly an ulcer of the cornea. Also, due to eye movements during REM sleep, there's the possibility of the contact becoming lodged under the eyelid, quite annoying I assure you.

Thus, it's far better to remove your contacts at the end of the day. After all, it is a foreign object in the eye as far as the body is concerned.

You should still take them out!! They stop oxygen getting to your eyes and if you don't remove them proteins build up which can cause problems! If cleaning your contacts bothers you use a peroxide solution-you just put them in the container and they neutralise over night-no cleaning needed!!!!
