Do not hang your head back!!! This will cause blood to run down the back of your throat, worse case it may go into your lungs, best case you will get incredibly nauseous from swallowing blood and may vomit.
Lean forward, pinch your nostrils shut with your fingers, and breathe through your mouth. Hold this for 10-15 minutes. It also might help to apply an ice pack to the bridge of your nose.
If it doesn't stop in 15 or so minutes, it might be a good idea to get checked out at your local emergency room. Sometimes nosebleeds won't stop unless your doctor packs your nose with gauze.
Hope this helps!

NEVER tilt your head back. It sends blood into your stomach which cannot digest it. Lean forward with a hanky or a bucket to catch the blood. Like anytime you bleed, there is nothing you can really do but wait. See your doctor to check if there is a prevention, but once it starts, you need to just ride it out.

Hold your head down and pinch your nose closed. If you have them all the time see a doctor. It could be related to something serious.........

I was always told by mom to put a piece of tissue between your top lip and gums and hold it there. Also, hold your head back, and pinch your nose closed. It should stop, and start to clot.
