General Health Care - August 2006

I go running and my feet start burning at the bottom. It gets to the point that I have to stop. I wear socks and I actually have clean feet so it's not a matter of me having some kind of athlete's foot or anything like that. I've tried wearing two pairs of socks and that just makes it worse! I think it's from the friction of my shoes and bottom of my feet - It mostly happens in the area of my pinkie toes. I was going to try some gel soles to put in, but I'm not quite sure. Have any of you had this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? Thanks so much for your help. XO

I had expected i had an ulcer however had a upper gi came back negitive. i may have a gallbladder problem. my doctor said he will need to go some tests. how do you check to see if its your gallblatter? and how would you treat it. my sympthopms are abdomenal pain/pressure nausea, and lack of energy. lost of appitite. any ideas? sound like a gallblatter problem.

I cannot tell if my lips are sunburned or if they are cold sores. I just spent a long weekend at the beach andhalf of my face got realyl sunburned. Today i just noticed a bunch of bumps on my lips on the same side of my face that was sunburned. There are no sores, but i cannot tell if my lips are sunburned or if they are cole sores, and yes i do get cole sores but usually only once or twice a year. They are itchy, and sort of tingle but i cant tell if it is tingly because they are cracked and peeling or if it is a coal sore ...HELP

Please help me. i have a small lump about the size of a pea. it is like on the left of my spine in the middle of my back. I am going to the doctors soon to get it checked out. I am really worried coz it could be cancerus (sp?) . I think i hav had a teeeeny lump there for a long time but i never thought it was bad. It is sore when i touch it and is like inside me. please help me.

I'm currently on a medication that in rare instances with higher dosages can cause high prolactin levels. I'm on a very low dosage, and have not menstruated in months, and now I am lactating. Both of those problems can be from high prolactin levels. I am not pregnant. So how normal is it to end up with a rare side effect on such a low dosage of medication. The drug is Risperdal.

i dont know whats wrong with it..... i think it's a muscle.... it is located on my left wrist... right to the left side of my bone where the hand and wrist connect...if i press down on it lightly i can feel a pain there.. what is that...and whats wrong :( oh ya and when i try to lift something of size or alittle weight.. it hurts abit when i twist my hand outward.. alittle.

Sometimes he can't settle down and sleep for 2-3 days. At other times he sleeps for 11-15 hours, for several weeks until he's hyper again.
Are there any long-term effects from sleeping too much?

I'm going to my friends doctor to get a tetanus shot and hepititas shot for sports tomorrow and she said that her doctor gives all shots in the butt. I'm really scared cuz this seems a little strange, ive never gotten a shot in the butt before. Do they give you a gown to change into ahead of time? I HATE shots and im really sccarreed. Is it embarrasing getting them?

Well I was wondering if anybody had any quick remedies for getting rid of coldsores. I got one on Sunday I know it's been 2 days and I really would like it to be gone by friday (it's my b-day) and I plan to be going out.

Anyways right now what i'm using is some astringent (using a cotton swab) and then applying toothpaste onto it (I read that toothpaste can speed up the time it takes to dry out). If anybody else has any remedies that would be great. thanks.

Ok, so basically all summer I've been having problems with a reoccuring injury in my left groin area. Today, I injured it again and it is worse than normal. I also noticed a small but hard lump(not protruding, but under the skin right where the pain is coming from). Does it sound like a sports hernia to you, or just a pulled groin?
