Ok, so basically all summer I've been having problems with a reoccuring injury in my left groin area. Today, I injured it again and it is worse than normal. I also noticed a small but hard lump(not protruding, but under the skin right where the pain is coming from). Does it sound like a sports hernia to you, or just a pulled groin?

Hernias usually increase in size with coughing or pushing your belly outward..you can usually push them back untill they disappear for a moment.and when you cough again or do anything that increases your abdominal pressure, it will reappear. If the lump becomes painful, you need to see a physician immediately.

A hernia will be a lump that is felt near the groin usually. You can get them other places. In bad scenarios the "lump" can be push back into place. The lump is a bit of intestine that has fell into the hole (tear) of the muscle. This causes much pain.
The only one who can really diagnose it would be a doctor. I suggest if you have been bothered over two weeks to see a doctor as that indicates a injury that needs to be seen.

Sounds like an inguinal hernia to me. Surgery and a couple of stitches to pull the muscle back together will take care of it. See a doctor before it gets bigger.

For Pete's sake, go to the doctor. Men wait too long to get these things checked out and end up loosing testicles or their penis (not saing anything will happen to your penis because of a hernie, just that you guys don't get treated for anything in that general area until it's too late a lot of times). Do you know how many men kill themselves within the first three years of a penectomy? 1/2 And that's only the first 3 years.

Hernia if a bump is there. Visit your Dr. It's not a major crisis, but it's painful

Its a herria. My cousin had this to happen. You need to get it taken care of really soon. It can affect your child bearing if not taken care of.
