Depends on the time of year for yellow jackets (sweets in the spring & meat toward the end of summer). Flies are attracted to everything.

Yellow jackets are meat eaters. They eat aphids for one thing. And, I have seen them clean the meat off a chicken bone, also seem them eating apple wind falls.
Flys go for almost anything.

I know one of the things they like is sweet stuff with sugar in it like spilled soda.
