Okay, I'm a dork, been running these machines forever and what do I do today? Get to close to one of the needles BAM right thru my finger, I mean in the top and out the bottom, before I could snatch it away (machine runs at 650 stitches per minute) CRASH it goes thru my fingernail and breaks off. I don't think there's any of the needle in there but i did have to pull some hot pink thread out of my nail. Anyway, it didn't bleed much and actually doesn't hurt to the point of needing pain meds but now it's swollen so big it feels like it'll burst. I KNOW I should have went to have it looked at but .. you know how it is

Ice maybe? I thought of epsom salt but the thought of the salt in those holes and YEOWEEE no thanx, Any suggestions on getting this swelling down?

I went to the chiropractor and the doctor filed a claim to my insurance company. They denied my claim, saying my injury had built up over a long period of time, therefore making it a pre-existing condition. I didn't think this was legal in California, considering that I got the insurance through work. I'm looking into it, and considering getting a lawyer. Should I bother?

I have had bursitis once before, but this time it is different in that I now have tingling in my thumb and the first two fingers along with the stiffness and pain. I have had this for over a month now and have tried ice pack and NSAID's to relieve the pain and nothing is currently working. Any ideas?

I just can't sleep. I don't know why, but it just started about a month ago. I toss and turn, and when I finally do go to sleep, it's like at 3 AM. I don't nap during the day and I get up every day at 7:30. I really need to stop this. Please help me. I don't want to take a medicine, and I hate going to the doctor's. It was so bad yesterday I had to take a Tylenol PM to sleep. Help! Could I have insomnia?

I have heard that a fever serves a purpose. By heating up the body, it kills the infection or virus. I know many people give their kids tylenol as soon as their kid gets a fever. This makes the child more comfortable but also lowers the fever. My daughter has a 102.3 temp right now. What should I do?

Ive been constantly having anxiety for thep ast two days. I feel liek my bodys totaslly out of wack, and it is very scary at times. I know its anxiety, but i still cant see how. i mean all day Ive been having some light tension headaches, having trouble breathing, my hearts been weird (rapid heart beats, abonormality) and ive been totally out of breath whenever. i feel winded and heart beats fast liek im gonna have a heart attack (even though im not). I basically feel liek death is cringing upon me. Im a totaly helathy person as i excercise EVRYDAY, and now i feel this. Ive been checked by a doctor adn im 100% healthy and all it is is anxiety. But can anxiety casue you to feel totoally lazy and winded and making oyur heart beat faster and tired? and is it casued becasue all day my heart and breathing feels wrong? and if this anxiety continues can i permantly damage something? i feels liek my anxiety is getting worser and worser each day. PLEASE HELP WITH ANY INFO TY

dont have insurance until the end of august so i have been going to the clinic that only cost $35 to go see the dr. What exactly happens to the muscles/tendons/etc when we stretch? I just did, and even though I stretched, the muscles tightened up and it felt sooo good. That sounds confusing, stretching and tightening at the same time, but that's the best way I can describe it.

Do we get a rush of blood to the muscles? Is there a chemical that runs through our brain and the bloodstream? It makes me to stretch, so I thought perhaps there's some dopamine thing going on in the brain, I don't know. What's happening?
