this is normal, the injection is very irritating to the muscle..it'll get better in time.

Tetanus shots are required every 7 years. For some reason, the medical providers have neglected to tell us that we need to keep this current. If the swelling persists though, you should go back and have the doctor take care of the matter. You sought a doctor's advice so don't delay taking care of yourself. Yeah! I got one about christmas time. The shot is less problematic if you get it in your hip. I am a nurse and when they asked me where I wanted the injection, I knew better than to get it in my arm.
