I've had arthritis for thirty-eight years, since the age of 23. There are many kinds of arthritis, many symptons, and many causes too.

Mine is caused through hereditary tendency (it's in the family) and throw-back, from serious past injuries.

The advice and link afforded to you here from other, is all sound, so do follow it and read about the condition. In the end though, only you can help yourself to find the answers.

Not all arthritis shows up in blood tests, rheumatoid for instance, can be in your system all your life, and not show up at all in tests, except, you will know you have it.

I have both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, and though some symptoms are the same, they do have very marked differences as well.

Think positively... I do and I'm still active.

They said I'd likely be wheelchair bound by the age of fifty... well I'm not;-) and I'm fully independent too, I still drive, still walk miles with my dog, and still outrun youngsters half my age... and when it isn't inside flare up, and the weather is nice and warm, like it is today, I can almost, but not quite, forget I have it.

If it didn't show up in my hands, no one else would know.

They can't see inside my wrists and spine and feet though... but it's there all the same.

I've refused all medication all my life and chosen a natural diet and excercise regime and for me, it works... I promised my GP I'd take their pills, the day I can't ever get back off the floor... and I'm not letting that happen to me yet. that was back in 1985.

And nor should you. However much it hurts... and it will, on a daily basis!

There are millions of us out here... you are not alone.

Stay strong and be determined, NOT to 'BE your arthritis'!

My arthritis isn't me... and it NEVER will be!

Mine started with pains in the bottom of my feet then i had joint pain in different parts of my body, was tested and they didnt no what i had, after 6 months of pain in every joint, they finally said i had RA, have a blood test they will check for the RA factor , i hope to god u havent got it, im 39 and have had it for 7 years. If u have, the only thing i have found any relief in is keep going, if u feel like u been run over by a bus in the morning, just get up and move around, your joints stiffen in the night, when u get up and start the day it gets better, good luck xx

Arthritis is a joint disorder featuring inflammation. A joint is an area of the body where two different bones meet. A joint functions to move the body parts connected by its bones. Arthritis literally means inflammation of one or more joints.

get a blood test.... i get a blood test every few months and i test positive for JRA (junior rheumatoid athritis) every time.... but if you just want to know some signs you will feel very achy... i personally have had it since i was in 2nd grade... now i'm 15...

i'v never been able to do the same things... an average person should be able to walk down the street without feeling their joints kind of ache and be sore... but with a person who has athritis... you can feel aches and pains just from walking down a hallway.... things will be very uncomfortable..... especially in instances where you do more activity in one day than usual... you may also feel stiff in the morning and feel like you need to go run around the block or something....not fun for a kid....

i hope your an adult, because athritis can really hold a kid back...
