General Health Care - July 2006

My child has increased the production of saliva recently... but I cannot tell whether this is related to new teeth or not. Any suggestions?

I have tried all kinds of "jungle" formula and "autan" but nothing seems to help.

I have even used citronella oil and candles but still get bitten.....

I wish they would just buzz off!!!!

I live in Cananda and I read something about someone not being able to afford to go to a doctor. I couldnt imagine.
I can go to the doctor whenever I want for anything minor.
Now I am 37 weeks pregnant, I see my doctor every week
and it will cost me nothing to have the baby.
Of course it is without its faults, it is considered "reactive medicine" My grandmother had a heart attack and they will only react to life threatening problems when they arise. She ended up getting the care she needed but it did take alot longer than it would in the states. It is almost impossible to get a family doctor and there is desparate need for nurses.
That being said there are alot of free programs to keep canadians healthy and out of the hospitals free breastfeeding clinic, telehealth Ontario (free hotline to speak to a registered nurse)
what does anyone think of the healthcare systems????

Sometimes if I dont eat I get really shaky. Like today... I ate this morning but now I feel shaky. Im eating oatmeal which helps but I still feel a little shaky.

Did anyone have bright red bloody stool (not a lot-just a little) when they had gallstones? I am scheduled to get mine removed and had two stones removed from my bile duct via ERCP and now 5 days later while waiting for surgury I have bloody stool and a little pain in my lower back... anyone else experience this?

For the last week my eyes have been red and irritated, i went and a saw an opthmalogist, which said there is nothing wrong with my eyes, but I know that they don't feel normal to me, their is this stinging and burning sensation, eye drops are doing nothing for me, could this be dry eyes and if so how long does is usually last? Also would the opthamalogist tell me if it was dry eyes?

I am a teacher 50 years old, in the recent years I feel gradually that my memory is not good as before. some time I cant recall my old freinds name. or where did I put my stuff. memorizing a telephone number is getting difficult and I forget many of daily task during the day. One thing that is very strange is to me is that sometimes my mind, eyes, and body are not acting in accordance with each other for doing job. for example when I go up through the stairs, after first step, saddenly I put my foot on the third step instead of the 2nd. This is very dengerous because you might be crashed and injoured. the other example, in dialing a number, after dieling the 2nd digit, my mind jumps to the 4th. digits instead of the 3rd. and it is funny; because you will get the wrong number each time. I think I miss some sequences between the entire task and jump one stage forward. in a mistake dialing a number, you can redial it again. but if you miss a stair you might lose your life. help me plse.

I no longer have the fever and all the stuff that goes with the flu but my house is now a wreck from the kids from being sick for 2 days and although I feel well enough to start cleaning I am so dizzy and weak I cant do it without really hating it and running out of breath and feeling like I'm gonna pass out.
