That is a very difficult question. Bullies at work can make people's lives a misery. They are often careful to make sure their bullying is not witnessed by others and are pleasant to you in front of others. Without witnesses, it is difficult to complain about them. Confronting them can make the victim look like the bully sometimes aswell.
I would try to make sure that the victim is never alone with the bully. I would urge the victim to keep a diary of all the incidences of bullying - date, place, time, type of abuse. Make sure as many people the victim trusts are aware of his/her feelings of intimidation. When s/he has enough evidence, arrange to see the bully's superior and s/he should take someone with him/her.
If s/he is a member of a union, try union rep. Or Personnel.

From you picture you appear to be female, I do not know if the bully is male or female, both are a menace.
If it is a male then you know that he has the macho thing in his head, the vital ingredient that prevents some joining the civilised world. If this is the case you look them firmly in the eyes and ask, "Please explain to me if it is the case here that the one who shouts loudest gets their way (or wins the argument) because if that is the case I will just scream my head off right now! or are we going to be sensible!" Then very calmly and slowly, with purpose ask them if they would listen.
If it is a female bully, whilst they are shouting or ordering say absolutely nothing, just put that incredulous expression on your face and look them straight in the eye. Keep your eye on them and let there be a long silence, bite your tongue. Hold the stare, they might ask what you are staring at, or similar, you then say with real feeling and a concerning frown "Gladys(?) I am so sorry, you poor dear"
Bullying is a form of physiological warfare so use it back on them.
Standing up can work as well, but men especially like that so will perpetuate the warfare.

You are going to have to stand up to him one way or another. Are you the only one he is bullying or are other people involved. Here is an idea if others are involved. We use to use this in the hospital when a doctor would bully a nurse. We would call a code "pink" and all of the nurses would gather around the back of the nurse to show their suppose while the doc tried to give her some crap. He would usually back down if he saw that all of the others were there and saw him making an as$ out of himself. Other than that, go to human resources and see if they can help you.

Dealing with Bullies are a case-to-case thing. Try to get info on why he's a bully and addressing that issue would be best.

tell them straight you wont be bullied or intimidated and if they persist you will report them, keep a diary of all incidents, also try to get witnesses, they will give up and move onto their next victim, an anoymous note to the boss about their behaviour would be an idea so they can watch them. if its violence join a self defence class. ignoring them usually works.dont let them see that you are bovvered by it,good luck, just left my job due to bullying boss 10 people left since february.

Stand up for yourself in a professional way. In other words tell the person that his/her behavior is unacceptable or just walk away. If that doesn't work try to get witnesses and report this person. Works for me! There will always be someone that will try to pick on you no matter what job you take up. But if this takes place on the street or outside of work.....kick their a$%.

Stand up to them. Don't show you are intimidated and hurt. They know that it bothers you and you take it. If that doesn't stop it then put in an official complaint to the boss. If it's a boss bully then complain to head office. Don't let him/ her get away with it.

Generally, the bully gets you fired. However, you can try organizing an onslaught of other workers to pin him or her in a corner while you shoot him or her with paper clips, rubber bands and staples.

Put a stink bomb near their car. When they are being a bully, turn around and fart. Just look at them with a dorky smile on your face and reply uh-huh to everything.
